  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ChristianControversy,
Since the truth can set one free, I offer my understanding to you with all sincerity and honesty concerning your title question. First, i'm not sure how interpret the word 'monster'; but, if the devil is the epitome of all monsters, then, since the devil is the father of all who lie (JN8:44), and all men are liars (NUM23:19;ROM3:4), all men are of the devil. Then we are all 'monsters', with Jesus Christ being the only exception since HIS FATHER was not a man, but is GOD.

An interesting blog post that brings up some good points about the doctrine of original sin. A rather long post but an interesting read if you're up to it. adefenseofgrace.blogspot.com/
I think it's ridiculous when people say they aren't going to read an article because it's 'too long' because really it doesn't take that long to read something like this. Though, I think it is equally ridiculous that the one who is advocating the article or blog cannot give a synopsis of it, too.

The blog itself doesn't seem to relate, much less even mention the doctrine of original sin at all. I for sure see no points against the belief.
