Fatigue can be caused by so many things--poor diet, poor sleep habits, thyroid problems,hormones,depression, boredom, anemia, etc, etc, the list goes on. In order to give advice one would need to know the cause of your fatigue. Maybe it would be best to talk to a doctor. Otherwise we can only give general advice like take vitamins, eat healthy, get enough sleep, try this or that product, etc.

Try not to eat dinner late, like make it before 8pm. That will help you sleep better because then your body isn't working on digesting your dinner while you try to sleep. But when you wake up, your body will be hungry, so make sure you eat something, even if its just like a banana. Then your body gets some fuel to help you going. Otherwise your body "shuts down" and makes you tired. Cutting down on your intake of carbs and red meat may help you. I know I started feeling a ton more energy when I stoped eating as much red meat.

The sun works wonders as well for some people. Perhaps you can go outside for a while when you wake up. Take a walk, go check your mail, walk a pet... something to not only get you up and moving, but also get some vitamin D from the sun going in your system as well.

When you exercise, try not to make it really late. Let your body cool down enough before you try to go to bed.

Another thing that may help is to make yourself go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. It helps your body know, this is when it is ok to bed tired and sleep and the rest of the day is time to be awake. It might be tough to get that started, but it definately helped me more than any of the other suggestions I could possibly come up with.

let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the suggestions, going try that cutting out carbs and red meat. Well I work most of the daylight hours....so only can exercise right when I get home (which now, luckily it is still light out...which is around seven at night). In the mornings it is still dark when I get up, so not safe to walk then. But would be nice to take a morning stroll before going to work....!! Walking outside is a wonderful stress relief I have found! Anyways thanks for the advice...going try that cutting out carbs and red meat...Take Care

Angel,
I had this problem for about 6 years too until about 2 months ago. I found out from several people that I just wasn't getting enough iron (border line anemic) which is natural for young women our age. Try taking an iron supplement pill (if that's what you think the problem is). You can buy them over the counter. I feel so much more energized when I take just one a day.

Best Wishes! :)

I saw a television show on health and they said fatigue can be caused by excess toxins in a person's system, including parasites. One area to check out is cleansing your system.
One quick way to check your amount of toxins(not exact but a general idea) is to look at your fingernails. look on your thumbs and see the white area. that little half circle area at the bottom of the nail. anyway, the smaller that is on your other four fingers, the more your body is overloaded with toxins.In some cases if your body is extremely overloaded with toxins, those white areas will completely disappear on your fingers, although you should still see them somewhat on your thumb nails even in that case.

Ok I need some advice/ help. I take my vitamins (sometimes forget to though..but take them more than I forget :) haha) and try to exercise. But the thing is I am always tired and feel so lazy......and I hate this feeling. Anyone got any advice out there........
Thanks in advance...
Kim

You need a thorough check up. Always feeling tired is a sign that something is not right. No one who is healthy always feels tired.

Yipes....I have that! Plus, both my thumbs have horizontal ridges (but not on my fingers) What would ridges on my thumbnails mean?

What kind of doctor would I need to see? A naturopathic doctor? I knew that looking at nails would determine the health, but I never knew it would signify fatigue, and I've had that since my hysterectomy last year (5/6/02) :(

Wowsers... :eek:

Be careful with the iron supplements. I also am borderline anemic and take them (OTC, not prescription...although ordered by doc). There is such a thing as too MUCH iron in your body and that is not good either. I have blood work done regularly to keep a close watch on my levels and there have been times where I had to stop the supplements for a while. Don't start taking iron supplements (or really any vitamin or supplement) without first talking to your doctor...

You would need to see a natural health doctor for this type of thing probably. Don Colbert is the doctor which talked about the fingernails thing. He writes christian books on natural health cures.If you go to a christian book store they probably have some of his books.

I have those half circles on my thumbs and forefingers, but on the rest there is no sign of them... I must be full of toxins. How do I get rid of the toxins? Oh well, who cares.

There are lots of programs for removing toxins from your body. one natural way to do it is fasting. There are also fiber and herbal supplements which can be taken. there are books on special diets to cleanse the colon, liver, etc.
The long term effects can be serious for toxic overload. it usually takes years but then it can lead to cancer or other problems which are even life threatening. Not to mention quality of life is slowly diminished over time.

That thumb thing sounds kinda kooky to me. I have no colon, so I hardly absorb any of what I eat, and I don't absorb very much cholesterol either. I have very tiny white areas on my nails, barely noticable. The best thing to do for anything like this is to see your doctor. Vitamins are rarely needed if you're eating properly. You're doctor can check all of your blood levels to see if you're okay. And as for colon cleansing, it's absolutely useless, and it's also dangerous for the health of your bowel. It wipes out the good bacteria which are necessary to break down the nutrients in our food. If you want a healthy way to clease yourself of toxins, try sticking to a diet of soup, fruit and veggies for a few days. Eating pure foods is your best bet, ie, unprocessed and organic food. Any sort of diet or suppliments should be agreed on with your doctor.

Hey all......

I am back:) Thanks for all the replys. I am going to the doctor, once I can afford it (about to be unemployed!). I am on Wellbutrin, by the way. I am going study/research on that detox, that caught my interest. I know I dont' eat the best and need to change that. I have started drinking more water...... and the past few days have been a bit better. Think my job stresses me out too much......and might just be taken its toll on me. Hmmm well speaking of being tired, it is near my bed time....take care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks alot - God Bless

ALWAYS TIRED?

Have anyone heard of mercury fillings in the teeth..? they're just as toxic and it's slowly poisoning us. Dentists have been passing them off as "silver fillings" when it's actually mercury. Come to think of it, there's been a flap about mercury in batteries, and in certain types of fishes, but no one is making a fuss about mercury in our mouths!

If you experienced:
* Difficulty concentrating, mental fuzziness and forgetfulness
* Frequent colds & flu
* Chronic yeast infections
* Irregular periods and/or infertility
* Heart palpitations
* Moodiness, irratibility, insomnia and/or depression
* Chronic stomach or gastrointestinal trouble (ie: nasusea, indigestion or diarrhea)
* Sudden trembling of hands, feet or eyelids
* Chronic aches and pains

If you're experiencing health problems due to mercury fillings, there's a toll-free # to find out if there's a qualified dentists in your area for mercury testing/removal. Call DAMS at 1-800-311-6265 It costs about $600 to $2000 depending on how many mercury fillings you have. (Check to see if your dental insurance covers this.)

check out this site--http://www.toxicteeth.org/index.cfm and see for yourselves. Click on "Cosumer Help" to find out about Filling Removal, and find a Mercury-free dentist in your area.

That's one other option to think about why youre tired, other than what's been listed earlier in this forum. :)
