Although I have hope I also have Doubts

As a few of you know I have ADHD . I was Diagnosed with it about a month ago. I am actually really embarrassed about it because every clinic or doctors office i go to has some sort of title MENTAL HEALTH so i don't like being seen walking into the offices. My mom is like no one cares! and actually the truth is they do because i also get made fun of at school and by some of my family (they supposedly are j/k but it feels like its on purpose )

I take a medicine for my ADHD its called Strattera. It messes up my Sleep schedule and fluxuates my Eating habits. Its Really Frustrating but it seems to be helping in school because I brought my grades up.


If you guys could, Could you Pray for Strength and Understanding for me. Also Comfort so I can feel more secure with my condition! Thanks you guys are wonderful!

Bring her to an place where she can function and calm her thoughts. Let her sleep patterns turn to regular.

Firehotchickadee, I understand where you are coming from. I'm on a medication called fluxoetine (i think thats how you spell it) for my depression. Before when I knew I wasn't well I was too proud to admit I needed help. Now I thank the Lord for providing a way for me to get better, even if its via medication.

It is there to help you and you do not have to care or worry about what anyone thinks. Yes there is a stigma and a label if you're on medication cos immediately people say "you're mad!" but who cares? Remember this: Your medication is helping you to hear God more clearly.

Stick with it and if the side effects really bother you speak to your doctor.

Lord God our sister believes, she really does. Please help her unbelief. Help her to overcome the embarrassment she may feel coping with her condition but show her Father that everything that happens is to glorify you.

Bless this request and grant this gal with understanding for her condition and the effects of the medicine etc. Give her the strength she needs to meet each day as your blessed child. Please cause the people closest to her to be a little more sensitive to the way she is feeling and to refrain from making jokes.May she be blessed and comforted in your loving arms. I pray it in Jesus name...amen.

FHC234, I hope you will take some comfort in this as well. We are all flawed human beings, and anything good that can be seen in any of us is God and not us.

Also I have heard someone say that our emotions are good servants, but terrible masters. God bless you sister!
