But you mixed ‘same-sex couples’ with ‘heterosexual couples’ Why didn’t you use ‘same-sex couples’ and ‘opposite sex couples’, or homosexual couples and heterosexual couples?
I personally would use same or opposite sex as the description because heterosexual and homosexual are the same as gay and straight and describe not the sex of the couple but the sexual attraction of the couple.

Well they aren’t totally different languages or we wouldn’t be able to communicate at all, rather I think we have two different worldviews. However a sexual relationship must be a relationship that is sexual, somehow you seem to be claiming it doesn’t have to be. I am perfectly willing to support what I have said by quoting the dictionary definitions if you wish.

I get very irritated about those whose mantra seems to be "The Bible is God's Own Rule Book for convicting humanity of its crimes, and *I* am the ultimate authority on what the Bible really says." We Anglicans told the Pope to go pound salt nearly five centuries ago for pulling that; it ill behooves us to begin doing it to others now.
No you didn't. Henry the 8th started the Church of England because he wanted to divorce his wives if he wanted to.
