And I say unto you, that many will come from the east to the west and shall sit down with Issac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matt 8:11-12Hi Melancholy;
I have come to appreciate your posts even if I don't agree with you. I am led to ask you what do you think Jesus was speaking of when He refers tof the place where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth unending?
This was used to as a parable to point to the fact that some of the Isrealites had turned away from the kingdom of God. The sons of the kingdom reffered to the Isrealites not gentiles.
Those were the kind that believed that they automatically could enter heaven because of their religious backgrounds.
Gentiles who thought they could not enter the kingdom, would be able to as would jews, but only by faith.
Those who were unfaithfull would be in pain at Judgement because they could not automatically recieve entrance into heaven, but this would only last for a short time, the outer darkness ( non admittance to heaven)would be their seperation for a time and then the light of God would be shown to them and they can return to the Lord..
