Alone
Your face is imprinted
In my mind
Your voice resounds
In my ears

A life snatched
Far to soon
A glittering smile
Gone forever

Your image seared
Into my heart
Your lost laugh
A painful echo

I never spoke
For fear of wrath
I never hinted
For fear of scorn

Now I am left
With a gaping hole
No one to fill it
Forever a void

That's so good, gosh, I wish I could write poetry. I'm good at stories,mjust not like poetry. Keep writing because your work shows you're good at it.

I started to write it for a character in one of my stories to "write" it ended up being personal though. I had a friend that died 31/2 years ago he was 15 and it started to remind me of him as I wrote it I am glad you enjoyed it!
