CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I highly value my alone time. I barely tolerate others now. Being alone is VASTLY superior to being with loud, ignorant, ugly, smelly, hateful, violent, rude, disgusting people.

It’s good to know some of you guys feel this way. Lately, I spend most of my free time with people, and rarely have time to myself. I’d like to think I don’t need it, but I think it really helps me get back in tune with myself if I have some downtime every once in a while.

The older I get, the more I appreciate my alone time. As an added bonus, I'm happier and more productive than ever. It truly is an energy source for some of us.
This doesn't mean that I like feeling lonely, or that I don't want to get married someday. Solitude and loneliness are different things. I just prefer people with whom I can be alone together, or who don't try to turn me into an extrovert. I'm not shy, but too much social interaction wears me out.
