Has anyone taken any meds for allergies? I get them so bad every year around this time for about a month. Is there anything safe to take? I am calling my doc tomorrow to find out! I just feel like CRAP

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Benadryl is supposed to be okay, but it knocks me out so I can't take it unless I'm prepared to sleep at least 8 hours. Loratadine (Claritan, Alavert, etc.) is also supposed to be okay, but it dries me out if I take it too long. Nasalcrom is also supposed to be okay, but it doesn't work on me. Nasonex and Sudafed (my regular medications) are both Category C drugs, so I won't take it until I talk to my doctor Wednesday. 
I have really bad allergies and sinus problems, and the best thing for me so far has been daily nasal irrigation.

I finally had to break down and ask my OB what to take. She said I could safely take Benedryl, Claritin or Zyrtec for my allergies. I've been taking Benedryl but they just aren't helping.
