For ALL have sinned....

I've heard that ALL doesn't mean All people, because then Jesus would have to be included. Now i realize that it doesn't include Jesusbut i think that the exception was a given from Paul's intent. Now Catholic include Mary into the exeption rule.

Now its no suprise to us that scripture uses ALL and WORLD in ways that don't neccessarily always mean ALL PEOPLE. But we are always able to understand the intent.

So it seems to me that ALL in "all have sinned" can be understood, if we look at Paul's intent, to mean ALL people, except Christ who was perfect.

Now i would certainly enjoy feedback.

Here is why infants are included in this:
Numbers 14:18
"The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation."

We are all born into sin. This is a case where all means all. Christ is excluded from this statement because; 1) While He is fully man, He is also fully God. 2) He did not have an earthly father. Therefore, no sin was inherited through His birth.

This is a great struggle amongst those who would say, "It is not fair for a baby to go to hell." But the truth of it is, it is not fair for any of us to go to heaven. We are all born into sin and the wages of sin is death. I am not saying that I think babies go to hell. i don't know either way. i would sure hope not. But that is the human part of me still seeing babies as innocent. In our eyes they are, but are they in God's eyes?

Hello Friends:
Every individual in this earth is sinner for natural circumstances. Even the little born children. Why? It´s written:
Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for ALL men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for ALL men.
Somebody maybe would ask... What will happen to those little creatures who die in early ages or even before birth? I could be very arrogant to think of their destiny. Just think that God is Infinitely Mercyful... and He will have mercy to those who He will be merciful.
About Jesus... He was born in a human being, but was engendrated by the Holy Spirit and even He made the Law.
About Mary... She was the carnal Mother of our Lord, but was still human and because of that... transgressor. I respect Her as much as the thoughts of any catholic who could read this post.
Pax.
Hugo.
