(I wasn't sure which of the suggested threads people wanted to expand on... so carry on... If you've already commented, feel free to cut/paste/develop your answer.)

There's going to be a multi-religious convention in your nearest big city with representatives from Islam, Catholicism, the Anglican/Episcopalian fellowships, Presbyterianism, Judaism, Methodism, Buddhism, native American tribes, and neopagan groups. And Bishop Spong.

Does the line-up give you the willies? What if it were a conference on public science? How about if it were a conference on civil liberties? Why or why not -- and (if you are still an Adventist member) would you encourage the SDA church to send a representative of their own?

The sobering question is whether we have anything useful to contribute.

I think that engaging in dialogue with others is important to living together. I am not sure in what ways the Christianity and Neopagans for example need to dialogue though, I don't know what is join concerns.

That is as religions, as people Christians and neopagans of course need to share dialogue.

I do see shared concerns of muslims, Christians, and Jews, and hope that such would dialogue together.

How much a Christian and a pagan would acknowledge they share in common might depend on the kind of Christianity and the kind of paganism at question...

That said, Christians and pagans may share great respect for life; all of nature and creation; transcendent spiritual experiences; myth and ritual; the value of community; the importance of history; careful, moral living; social order ... and many other things.

They have everything in common. They originate from the same Source. Identity is no respecter of belief.
