While Torah is traditionally translated 'law', the literal meaning is 'instruction'.
[H8451] torah, from :
[H3384] yara-to teach, instruct.
There are commandments, ordinances, judgments, precepts,
testimonies and prophecies with their exhortations and admonitions.
All are Torah, because all are given to instruct. This is precisely why
Paul states:
2 Corinthians 3:
16 All Scripture
is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Be wary of someone who speaks often of "keeping the Torah",
without understanding the fullness of this "instruction".

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law (nomos),
I said, You are gods?

The Greek word nomos is used over 190 times in the New Testament
and is always translated by scholars as Law, just as Torah in the Old.
And yet, here the Lord is quoting from the Psalms, whose instruction
(torah), would normally be referred to as 'testimony'.
Is "I said, you are gods" a command to obey? Obviously not,
but it is given
as instruction, by the inspiration of God.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony!
If they do not speak according to this word, it is because
there is no light in them.

We must be instructed by the full testimony of scripture.

It's the law (Torah) AND the prophets.

Luke 24:44

English Standard Version
Then he (Jesus) said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled (filled fully).”

THE LAW (TORAH)
The Law includes the five books of the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy).

THE PROPHETS (NEVI’IM)
The Prophets comprises the Former Prophets (Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel [counted as one book], 1 and 2 Kings [counted as one book]) and the Latter Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, the Twelve Minor Prophets [counted as one book]).

THE WRITINGS (KETHUVIM)
The Writings consists of Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra-Nehemiah (counted as one book), 1 and 2 Chronicles (counted as one book)—24 books in total.

I touched on this subject here: How do you define sin?

Think in terms of an arrow that is aimed to hit the mark.

When we sin (miss) ; we are off the path (way) of the right direction (Torah) that is required to reach the target.

Those who reject the Father's word are using heat seeking missiles. ;)

When we are missing; we need Ruach Ha'Kodesh (The Dedicated Wind) to get our arrow returned back (repent) to the right direction.

I love the Hebrew way of thinking. It's so easy to understand.

Yes, and we need to pay close attention!
John 3:8 The ruach (wind, Spirit) blows where it wishes, and the sound of it you hear, but you do not have da’as of where it comes from and where it goes [KOHELET 11:5]; so it is with everyone having been born of the Ruach Hakodesh. [YECHEZKEL 37:9]

TORaH

Lets look at the otiot (Ancient Hebrew Letters)

TORH

So he, who has the mark fixed in his head, rejoices.

Revelation 22:4 They shall see His face and
His name on their foreheads.

John 6:27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.

2 Corinthians 1:
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ
and has anointed us is God,
22 who also has sealed us and given us
the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

Ephesians 1:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory,
who first trusted Christ.
13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard
the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that you believed, you were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the downpayment of our inheritance
until the redemption of the purchased possession,
unto the praise of his glory.

(CLV) Ex 13:9
And you will come to have this as a sign (אֹות) on your hand and between your eyes for remembrance that the law (Torah) of Yahweh may be in your mouth; for with a steadfast hand Yahweh brought you forth from Egypt.

אֹות literally means mark in Hebrew.

When we we look at the otiot we have;

Aleph, Waw, Taw

Aleph depicts an Ox head.

view

It means headship.

I already covered Waw and Taw.

If a farmer tills his field, to plant his seed to grow; he heads toward a mark in a straight path. He doesn't attach his reigns to both oxen. He attaches his reigns to his experienced ox who knows the way. He yokes his inexperienced ox, to the experienced ox, to learn the way.

When we are yoked in his headship; he will take us to the mark.

YHWH created all things. He created them through Yahshua. Aleph (The beginning). As YHWH is Yahshua's headship; Yahshua will lead us; if we are yoked to him. He will lead us in the way YHWH directs him. Our path will be straight, as not to miss the mark. It is our Father's will that we are one with Yahshua, as Yahshua is one with him; so that we will all be one. Taw (The end).

Aleph Taw

When we we look at the otiot we have;
I believe you have found your true avenue of ministry
here, bro. These word studies based on the ancient
alphabet are a blessing! Keep it up. Maybe chronicle
them in a blog?
