  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Bible says that all scripture is god-breathed, and I believe this. The bible written by god-inspired men.

I read a quote from a man who said that St Paul influenced the world more than Jesus... politically at least.

BUT

Some people completly reject St Paul saying that "He is NOT Jesus" As a result they dont accept any of the epistles of paul...

I believe that Pauls writings are from God.

But why dont others? Surely that means prophets are wrong, and so most of the old testament!

So my question is. How much can you reject pauline theology? Could he be some guy just faking it? And what about those who do reject pauline theology, where have they gone wrong?

Cheers, metal.

I think God put it in pauls heart to write these, letters. And you are Correct, 2 Timothy 3:16 says that " All scripture is God breathed, and is useful for Teaching rebuking correcting and training in righteousness." So I am not afraid to say this person was a heretic and a false teacher. And he probably even had no clue who Paul was, more and less did he have a position to say his writings were invalidated because"he is not jesus" Id refer to the bible for an awnser like that, but then again, :) Thats just like me.

You can't reject Paul's teachings and be a Christian . . you would be a heretic . .

Peter tells us that Paul's writings are scripture:

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Do the ones who reject what Paul wrote also reject what Peter wrote?

I think Peter speaks here to the motivation of those who wrest with and reject teachings they don't like . .and what happens to them as a result . .

Peace in Him!
