Myself, I prefer the open exchange of conflicting interpretations and spirited healthy debate about different views, but I understand that some folks here would rather not see that kind of discussion.

Just curious - have you ever seen anyone change their point of view after a spirited healthy debate?

Just curious - have you ever seen anyone change their point of view after a spirited healthy debate?

Been posting here since 2002 and I have seen maybe 3 people publicly admit to having their view "evolve" into something completely different after thoughtful debate.

However, in that same time I have received multiple dozens of PM's from various "lurkers" who don't post at all, but have found my exchanges with futurists helpful to them in determining which view they believe lines up better with scripture.

So, I don't necessarily debate to change the view of my debate partner, but to better compare and contrast both views for our readers so they can make a better informed decision if they are truly seeking to do so.

Separate forums where futurists/preterists/partial preterists) can agree on certain basic topics will flow to more complicated issues to be discussed. When presenting a topic that other posters cannot even agree on the basics, you don't get very far into going deeper on the subject.

Hey James.

We had another thread in Suggest a Forum I believe and the Advisors have decided to use tags to separate thread from thread.
Tags like, Futurist only, Preterist, Debate, Discussion, Fellowship, etc.
If someone wants only a Futurist thread, only Futurist posting is allowed.
the Stickies could be used as safe-houses for each group.

Once we turn over to another platform, all these things would need to be looked at again.
