Sometimes as local as your dinner table.

I got two kids who get the keep their health care today.

Personally I'd just like to thank St Cosmos (close enough to cosmic to be a namesake patron)
and the Freedom Caucus (who might be the dumbest 40 people to ever grace the House of Representatives)

Oh, and the Negotiator and Chief himself. (So much winning)

Thank you, all.

My kids can see the doctor.

Your kids could aways see the doctor, mine could and we do not have man worshiping health insurance.

Oh, did it pass?
What was in it?

It did not pass. Republican House, Congress, and President fail to do what candidate Trump promised he would do "on day one". Yesterday he blamed Democrats for his failure to unite his party behind the plane he endorsed. So much winning. The new plan is great, its the greatest plan, and everyone is happy now.

Obamacare was a bad deal for America. Trump is a bad deal for America.

The America we have become in spirit... is a bad deal for America.
Because who we are spiritually is eventually expressed in law.

Interesting that many of our less-Christian peer countries have objectively better healthcare systems than we do.

Let's work with the facts and live with the truth here.

Taking a good look at the ACA there is only one way to guarantee near universal coverage AND lower costs better then the ACA is doing (and it's doing a pretty good job of both)

Somehow Medicare has to get on the menu.

Either put it on the exchanges and open it up to anyone who wants to pay for it OR just tax everyone and socialize medicine like we're actually a real country that can feed it's poor, educate it's children and keep it's citizens healthy.

There are no other options that can deliver near universal coverage and cost control simultaneously. The ACA framework is the best we can do AND keep private insurance around as basic healthcare.

This is why AHCA (Trump/Ryan/GOP/Koch/ whatever -care) failed. You simply can't keep the "good" parts of the ACA and repeal the "bad" parts. It actually all fits together. The Republicans know this otherwise they would have come up with something after 7 years and 50 votes to repeal the ACA.

They have nothing because there is nothing.

On that we agree. Single payer could work. Obamacare and the proposed Trump/Ryan-care really don't.
