Hi, My name is Jim.. I know people from a number of differant churches--mormons, catholics, Jahovah's witness, seventh day adventist.. and others too. I find really good sincere Christians among all of them.. I'm wondering if it is possible that people from all these churches will make it too heaven and also there are those among all of these churches that may not make it to heaven?? Just a thought.

Blessings,
Jim

Yes it is. People are judged by their reactions on what they know. If the person serves God the best they know they can, they have a good chance of being in hevan.

In the last days, though, the very last days. People will either be for God or against God. The people against God there, can't make heaven. They believe they are serving God correctly, but are ignoring the truth.

That is what we believe...Because it's what the Bible says!!

Jim, where those people who will be ushered into the kingdom of God have come from doesn't matter as much as who got them there.

Of course, this means that unless one walks with Christ he will not be one among those who will enjoy the awe of God's kingdom. For, no man can go to the Father except through Jesus Christ.

people are not saved by the religion they are in, they are saved by how serious and how well they live the Bible. ofcourse noone is perfect, but God doesn't want perfect people, he wants peope that try their best at everything. if you try you best o be a good child of God, he will accept you.

This sounds like salvation by works.

Here's something for you to meditate on:

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
(Isa 64:6 KJV)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(Eph 2:8-9 KJV)

I believe that every Christian Church will have some members there and every Christian Church will also find some members that did not make it and therefore those ones that did not make will burn with the devil and his angels according to what Revelation tells us.

Also there in heaven will be a group of people that were never Christians as such on this earth.

Paul tells us that in Romans. They did not know the gospel but lived the gospel.

I was thinking that too. There may be people in heaven who have never heard of Jesus???Puzzling, want more info???

The SOP tells us we will be surprised with how many people will be in heaven who had never heard of Jesus.

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

The nature is the first book of God. It speaks the glory and character of God in every way. Long before the bible was ever written, Enoch walked with God.

God is not someone who's looking through magnify glass for every little thing we do wrong to keep us out of heaven. That's why He sent His son to die for us.

In the end, we will be judged based on the knowledge that was revealed to us accordingly.

Been following the sanctuary study? :) Lev 4 tells the sins of ignorance are covered by the blood of the Lamb.

God is about love not religion... he hates religion, a man-made system of do's and don'ts that gets in the way of Christ. No church can save you, period. Jesus saves you. The last day church isn't a denomination, but instead God's people in all the churches in the world. We do have to follow truth as best as we know how, and yes people of all religions will be in heaven. Porobably even Moslems and other people who may have never heard of Christ.

If God hates religion then why did He inspire James to speak favorably about it?

"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." (Jam 1:27 KJV)

Moreover, the Bible also identifies vain religion: "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain." (Jam 1:26 KJV)

Hence, according to inspiration there is right religion, and there is wrong religion. The Bible does not support the idea that God hates all religion; rather, it puts religion in its proper perspective.

Most people fail to see this...

Notice in my post though, that I define the religion I am talking about as man-made. Religion is not in anyway what God wants, period. He isn't looking for people who are devoted to a church or a religious leader, he is looking for people who will follow him no matter what the cost. God wants worship, true worship. This worship comes out of love, true love... God's love.

Why does God hate religion? Sure religion usually means to practice a belief in something... but the ideas of religion have been overtly tainted over the centuries to the point where it becomes about man, rather than God. My point? We need to be careful to not confuse God's love and worship with man-made religions and our own opinions, where we make our own thoughts and beliefs doctrine. We need to be more concerned about following Christ rather than a denomination. Currently I am Seventh Day Adventist because they have the truth as far as I can see. Ellen White was inspired, and you cannot change that. But, the second this church would change to favor man's theology over God's word, I'm no longer a SDA. See, I follow God, not man's religion.

I like what Jesus prayed in John 17 when He was asking our Father to help us understand. He prayed for us Verse 20-23

20 ¶ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are
one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Then also consider John 10:16. It is our relationship, not our membership that will allow us to enter heaven when Jesus comes.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

What about Matthew 7:21...
Not everyone that says Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father will enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Our concern should be with doing God's will for our lives? That takes relationship with Him. Knowing His voice, trusting His will and plan for us individually. There's no group formula or entrance exam. It's our individual relationship with Him that will determine if we have the privilege of spending eternity with Him. What an awesome gift...to spend eternity with Him. What an awesome responsibility to make sure that we have a relationship with Him.

Having your name in a list of a church, or going to a church doesnt earn any1 heaven. Nothing can earn you heaven. When we get to heaven we will see ppl we wouldnt be expecting to see... and will not see ppl we were expecting to meet. God has his ppl scattered in many denominations, true christians that love Him and serve Him to the best of their knowledge.

Its good that you have friends of many denominations, Jesus didnt just mix with one group of ppl :) So you are following His example by doing so! :) Amen

Have a good day

Jesus said he is the way , the truth , the light , the only way to God ....

Jesus said no one could come to him , except the Father called them ( drew by intercessory prayer ) , pray the Lord of the harvest ...

Paul wrote that if we confess with our mouth , and believe in our hearts that Jesus is the son of God who rose him from the dead by the power of the holy spirit we will be saved ...

Paul told the jailer " believe on Jesus Christ and the work of the cross , follow me as I follow him "

If you speak of the "elect" as the 144,000 of the book of revelation, or of the predestinated (ephesians 1.5,11) ... then read the verse in context :12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel; 12,000 virgin males; 12,000 jews so if you are not a male , jew , or virgin you aren't one of the "sealed ( anointed as in Isaiah 61.1-3, not saved).

if there are "elect-predestinated ones " ... then why does Jesus speak about putting one's hand to the plow and then turning back ? why does Paul speak of shipwrecking your faith , false doctrine , teachers ..
and in the last days , many will be decieved , even the "elect"...
