I am curious what other christians believe about aliens. Do you believe they could exist? Is there scripture that addresses this? I have seen many shows on UFO sightings and alien encounters and I find it very intriguing. I just am not sure what the bible says about it.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My mind tells me that the universe is too huge for us to be alone, and I also am a sci-fi buff, but the bible says that "God sends a powerful delusion to those who are perishing"
So, UFO's, aliens, evolution, carbon-dating proving the creation theory a myth, etc, all adds up to a very powerful delusion to those who would not accept the truth anyway.
Meanwhile, if an alien has visited earth and these UFO's are genuine why can't we see one plainly, go and inspect it close up, and verify it as off world technology?
Because it isn't and it never will be.

I'm sure many people had close encounters and sightings of Zeus, Thor, etc. back in the day.
If they had talk shows back then they would have loved to go on them.

Thank you for your very insightful reply. I think you have answered my question just like that. I was also wondering about carbon dating, but had decided in my own mind that it was just incorrect, but couldn't figure out why most everybody believed it to be correct. Thank you!
