Man, I would give my left and right arm to be in the military, especially the Air Force. I've tried so many times to get into the service but those stupid doctors at MEPS are so freakin difficult to get past!!!! I have a skin condition which they think is life threatening. It's just a bunch of moles that I've had checked out by doctors. They've all said that I was fine. I can't believe in this time of need for more troops they would be so dang selective.

I am in the Air Force Auxilary. Civil Air Patrol. (I get SSGT in three weeks!) I'm going to cross over into the AF through hopefully the AFA. Born to fly! Though the only thing I've flown is a Cessna... Haha.

I'm an E-4 (Senior Airman) in the Air Force. My AFSC is 2A353A, and I'm a crewchief on F-15E Strike Eagles.

I was at al Udeid, Qatar and al Jabra Kuwait for OIF. Anyone else in the AF or at those two bases?

While I do have a stong Navy side to my family (brother in the US Naval Academy and 1 grandfather as a WWII sub vet), I am also proud to say that my other grandfather served as an Air Force mechanic during the early 50's in Europe.

Qatar is awesome. They have a Chilies there!

We are unpredictable. They can only guess.

I used to not be a big fan of Security Forces, but I got to know a lot of them on base and they're awesome. They have a lot of history that not many mainstream AF know about, especially Vietnam and the fact the M-16 was originally for the Air Force and adpated by the Army.

I used and carried the m16, and I have liked alot of other rifles better, for accuracy, ease in cleaning. and for being light. But it gets the job done.

Sometimes (but only sometimes! ), I think that we should be equipped with something like the M16.
I mean, the SA80-A2 is a huge improvement on the A1, but we've still swapped durability for accuracy. The rifle is incredibly accurate, but incredibly difficult to maintain!
