  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think everyone in basic training goes to church. I never did get in the air force though....I got a medical rejection. Now I am trying for the navy.

Not true. I'm an atheist. I never went to church. You basically stay behind and do "Bay Maintenence" aka whatever the Drill Sergeant tells you.

Good luck on getting accepted. Honestly, if you were rejected from the Air Force, your chances of making the Navy are slim as the basic training is more physically demanding. Regardless, I hope you make it.

Lol yes I'm finding out how hard it is to get in the navy. Right now I'm waiting to get my waiver but it seems to be taking a while to come back. Anyone know what the chances are of getting in the Army when I was rejected by the air force? The rejection from the air force was cause I had asthma as a kid and it was hard to prove that I overcame it by the age of 12 to 13. I hear the army gives out more waivers?

armys easier to get into but it's not the really the best but if you want to go that route good luck. I just got out of airforce bmt and tech school and the airforce is starting to become alot more physically demanding. You can go to church though during bmt I went every sunday.

Hello,

I will go by my experience in the Army.

Bibles are readily available and can be read during "Soldier's Time". Which is basically the hour before lights out provided your platoon hasn't done anything to infuriate the drill sergeants.

Religious services are run Sundays and all can attend the service of their choosing provided your not on FTX or a previously planned drill or exercise.

Honestly? You should be perfectly fine. Air Force basic training is a walk in the park.

Yay. My friend is currently going through basic right now. She left on the 5th of this month. She's loving it she said. Which is strange to me to LOVE basic but whatever. I ran with her before she left. She couldn't run past a mile but she's doing fine in basic. This gives me hope. I won't die. I leave June 24th. I can't wait. :ebil:

I'm going to rip em up.

Just kidding. :holy:
