AIM virus

So anyways, I am no longer using AIM because I can not get rid of this stupid virus in it. When ever you look at some one's info who has it it automatically goe to your's. Don't know much about computers, but it is really teeing me off! I think I am gonna go back to ICQ! Hum!

Oh if anybody thinks they can help me out........ please do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad Aware and some antivirus software? It's important when asking computer questions to say what you've already done to try to solve the problem, and what results you saw. This helps folks help you.

I don't use AIM but I did a little poking around in Google and saw mention of "b.exe" in connection with an AIM virus. For instance, you can go to this link and see if it applies to you (?):

Do you know the name of the virus? Are you sure it's from AIM and not anything else?

Alright I did nothing to fix it because I don't know what it is. I uninstalled AIM and then reinstalled it. This seemed to work, but I think if you talk to someone else who has it, it auto goes in your profile. Anyways this is what it says

Whoaaa....look at what I found, click here

It's a link and it goes to some webpage with a virus on it. Deleting from your profile is pointless, it just comes right back!!! HOpe that helped with describing it.

I found more references in Google based on your comment that it says "Whoaaa...look at what I found". I just did a Google search on that text along with aim virus.
