Aiding the Enemy

Pilate knew that the chief priests had handed Jesus over because of envy.
But the chief priests stirred up the crowd…..
the crowd cried out again, “Crucify him!” (Mark 15:10-13)

God’s people (the crowd) persecuted God’s Son in the name of God. This was the reality then, and still is so. In Jesus’ name, Jesus’ people break Jesus’ law in Jesus’ church. I have seen many who in the name of Jesus persecuted their pastors. The very ones who would have to forgive condemned in the name of the Lord of Forgiveness. And those who preached peace caused division in the name of Jesus.

They were not Satan’s lieutenants. They were all God’s people. But they were deceived by Satan. They assisted Satan and opposed Jesus. God’s people did Satan’s work. How dreadful! But it is a common occurrence.

I know a sister who was baptized of the Holy Spirit. She experienced many heavenly mysteries. She said she did not read the Bible for days and could still be in Spirit. She confused a few and caused a grief to herself.

Satan can easily manipulate those who are not constantly seeking the Lord and lead them to oppose the Lord. One seeks the Lord through scripture reading and praying.

Lord,
I had many days in deception. I disrupted your church in your name, persecuting your disciples. As I look back, I was not seeking you. The Bible was collecting dust, and the skin on my knees was as tender as that of a baby.

Lord,
Let my disobedience be enough with the days of the past. Help me stay awake lest I be deceived into aiding the Enemy. Give me diligence to study the Bible and pray for my brothers. Amen.

Lord,
I had many days in deception. I disrupted your church in your name, persecuting your disciples. As I look back, I was not seeking you. The Bible was collecting dust, and the skin on my knees was as tender as that of a baby.

Lord, I join with my brother Rupert in prayer, I confess this sin too, I ask that You forgive me and lead me in the ways of Your righteousness. I pray this in Jesus' precious Holy name and thank You that You are always faithful to forgive those who repent.
