I have Chat GPT on my Samsung tablet. We had an interesting (speaking) conversation about Christian morality when I first loaded it a while back. I also have Copilot and Perplexity on my PC. I tend to use Copilot for quick searches (like Google).

Since my PC doesn't have a microphone connected to the PC, I'm not sure if Copilot will accept speech input and response.

Ooh, that sounds cool. I use AI myself, for making devotionals. Mistral 7B is my favorite AI, cos it barely runs locally on my computer, privately and offline, and was made by the Frenchies. My laptop has a built in microphone, but I prefer using Mistral, which is text-to-text AI, as I do not want my voice going online.

That is totally true. The AI only stitches together what it learned from training data. If the training data is biased or garbage, then the output would be biased or garbage. In fact, your trig analogy is perfect, as AI does not show signs of intelligence, and is similar to the student who copies homework, exams and notes, and may reword the notes slightly to avoid getting caught by the teacher. It can memorize, copy and paraphrase things, but it does not have consciousness or self-awareness.
