CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I do have 3 little brothers (10, 9 and 9). I'm not a parent myself but I thought maybe I could provide a little advice as to what worked for me (just as parents give advice based on what's worked for them), having just come out of being 'parented'.

I don't think this is a fair comment to make. IMO no child is "an idiot", there are children that may have trouble learning things but idiot isn't the word that should be used.

Agree, somewhat. He won't eat fruit but he makes up for it in veggies.

Hmmmm undecided lol. My kids love the toys with batteries too, so they are great in the other room.
However I think the ones with more "educational" value are the ones without batteries. They can make the noises themselves (in the case of trucks/cars, crying baby dolls) and use their imagination more. Hmmm, maybe I do agree after all.

hmmm, that's a tough one... on some things yes I agree, but on other things, my DH is more strict because our second is a boy... But I think generally, yes I agree...

Agree - even after you get your kids through the "baby/young toddler years" sometimes they get sick or wet the bed or anything can happen ROFL.
The amount of times I have assumed I would be getting a full nights sleep and stayed up late and gone to bed and then been woken at 3 (after only 2 hours or so sleep) because one of my kids has been sick or had a nightmare.
A/D: 6 is way too young to go to a public toilet/restroom by themself without adult or older sibling to go with them.
