Agents of shield is not about the super heroes it's a side bar to the big avenger films showing the other things shield does beside superheroes. Haven't seen season two but enjoyed the first one. Loved the nick fury episode in season one.
"Explain to me again how you broke my very expensive plane?"
Hmmm, well that explains a lot. What a shame. That seem promising to me too at first but Joss Whedon actually has VERY little to do with this show, as I've recently learned. I think he was involved with the pilot but that's about it :/
He shows up in the beginning credits in every episode but he really doesn't have a lot to do with it.
Here's the thing, though, gang. We have to remember that we are grading on a bell curve, and that gives Agents of Sheild a pretty high score. There's so little worth watching on television that once we compare it to the other poo-poo available, it suddenly stands out as top notch entertainment. I look forward to it and appreciate the good, clean fun.
I'm inclined to agree. Initially I was not so impressed, but I think they are gaining steam now and developing some decent story lines, particularly with Colson.I've been enjoying the show so far. I read some of the old comics dealing with S.H.I.E.L.D. back in the day. So I'm familiar with all that. Still, the show is solid so far. It's "Agents" of S.H.I.E.L.D. not an extension of Avengers, which I was halfway expecting at first. The show is progressing nicely and I look forward to the new episodes.
I like how it really is more about the agents that the supers. More of a human storyline than a superhuman one.
I liked Colson in the movies and like him even more in the series.
Am I the only one annoyed by that kind of teaser? "Let's do something ambiguous to make them keep watching to find out what it is."
That's not what good suspenseful plotting really is. Good suspenseful plotting actually keeps feeding you information, like stepping stones across a stream. It doesn't throw MacGuffins at the audience.
Behind the greatness of the movie I wonder how many people noticed the (what should be obvious) attack on drones being use to watch us, more so ones with weapons. Its a very good wake up call to those who still think drones with weapons are not a big deal.We saw Captain America uncomfortable with the concept of SHIELD
I totally agree! I like Ward way more as a villain. He was so boring before. I'm guessing they will do as you say and make him brainwashed or something like that. But in the meantime he's far more interesting, especially with Sky having figured it out and rising to the challenge of dealing with him.I have to say, I am starting to enjoy this show more after the last few episodes hahaha.
Spoilers...?
I really hope they keep Ward a villain. Like, I hope it doesn't turn out that he's brainwashed/a double agent or something.
I'm actually looking forward to new episodes now lol. Erm, except that there's only what, like 2 left before the season ends?
Also true! Government control like that most often ends up being a horrific breach on human rights.Behind the greatness of the movie I wonder how many people noticed the (what should be obvious) attack on drones being use to watch us, more so ones with weapons. Its a very good wake up call to those who still think drones with weapons are not a big deal.
I'd rather have weaponless one watch me then one that can kill me. At least Cap was from a time when he knew what freedom was and at least he now sees in modern times that the freedom he died (sort of) for is not what he though freedom would be. He even says in he movie he basically feels lost. Hes questioning what he sees going on.
The first show of this season had a bit of murkiness to it--they probably tried to re-introduce too many of the trainling ends from last season into it.
But for those who haven't seen it yet, there is a surprising and sad "Aw, man, really?" at the end.
