I am so sorry to hear that. Forum members can be a mixed bunch with their approach to others, but I do hope your view on sharing select information is not coloured too much by their actions.

Thank you; you are most kind.

I am always a bit worried about being too open. Most people are kind; a few won't be.

Are you able to be with him?

He lives very close, with my mum. About 2 miles away.

We had a row 2 weeks ago and I have not been back since. I know that sounds bad, but this is a difficult time for everyone, not just them. I was taking him to doctors appointments and to the hospital and sorting his prescriptions and mums; I have always done this. But mum decided that she was not getting enough attention so she went into crying fits last time I was there, and I have not been back. My brothers are now doing what I was doing before; if they did this every day for a year they would still not catch up with me.

I was a bit cross that they turned on me, tbh.

I really feel for you. It is so horrible a feeling when elderly parents turn on you. I remember when my mother did this to me, but later on in turned out this was the beginning of her dementia.

You need to be strong and pray for strength to be the one to make the first move. You cannot let this episode come between you. You will be relying on one another in the weeks to come.

My prayers are that God goes ahead of you to prepare your mother's heart. God bless.

Thank you for being so understanding. I will try to call on them tomorrow, after church maybe.

I am afraid they rely on me; I learned a very long time ago not to rely on them; they are totally unaware of me as a separate person. Mum wanted to pick on someone; she chose me. She doesn't really care who she uses, as long as she gets to be centre stage.
