Zhu is the ageless (and very male) cat of the goddess, Kyr. Goodness knows why she adopted him, especially as his father was the most idiotic and stupid of cats... fortunately his mother was a little smarter.
Zhu is black and white, shorthaired, green-eyed cat with perfect markings. He is mostly black, with a white flame in the center of his forehead, a white bib, paws, and the tip of his tail.
Being a god's cat he has the power of speech, can manipulate minds and objects (but at great physical cost to himself). Furthermore, as befitting any cat, he is proud, tart, and very outspoken. Sometimes he is wise enough to keep quiet and listen.
During Elanor's visit to the other dimension, Kyr gifted Elanor with Zhu (a mixed blessing).
