CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

me and my boyfriend are 14 years apart. um really big age gap lol, we're much farther apart than you and that girl. Age has never really been an issue for me, if two people really like each other then age shouldn't be something that stops them from dating and stuff, UNLESS it's like a legal issue and against the law or something. sometimes i don't entirely agree with that either, but the law is the law and everyone has to follow it i guess ^.^

Hello All,
I just recently got into a situation, well I did not get into it. Truth is that my GirlFriend, Ex, whom I called an incredible girl and a Blessing to me...wow.
Well, she dropped a Bombshell on me and it goes right into this category of 'Age Gap'. And I am not trying to do this for effect. We were together for 30 months. She is from the UK and I am from Florida in the US. The (distance) challenge was never really an issue....because I went over there to the UK 4 times to be with her and Family and she Flew over to Florida 2 times. I Loved her with every spot of my heart. Also, I have CP, Cerebral Palsy and my Life started out soon after birth with 2 doctors telling my mom (adoptive) that I would NEVER walk.
There's so much more to the story, but I will stay with the -age gap- post here.
SHE ended things in early January,, she is now 23 and I am 38. At first, there was the wonder of "" well, 15 years". Ya know??
But she was every much SPECIAL and the Blessing to me.
They call some people with what I have " Special Needs" or "Disabilities" or "Handicaps". I THINK it is our cry, people with these challenges that we long to just be considered people, and many with HUGE HEARTS.
If you put the time and effort into getting to know us,, you will find out how much we are wonderful Human Beings...and just want to be treated with dignity.
ON ending the relationship,, SHE let me know (and NOT even over the phone) that she has "FEELINGS FOR" an interest for this Church Leader (Pastor??) almost hard to call him that. It is like a -- see right to it or through it situation--.. I mean NOTHING wrong with ' having feelings' for a Church Leader EXCEPT,,
here's the age gap,, HE is almost 60, yes that is a 6 with a zero behind it.
He is right at (59) currently.
So, 23, her age and 59-- his age.
Adding to,, he is STILL married and he has been for 30 or 31 years.
He has 3 Kids (grown) and when I talked with Katy's Nan (grand-mother), the Pastor (or so he is called) and his wife have or had a 2nd grand-baby on the way.
I mean talk about an age gap, this is the kind of stuff you hear about, usually on the Television News....and ever think will happen to you..
