Alright, please read the whole thing before deciding weather or not to join, believe me, I think you’ll find it interesting. It’s a story idea of mine, so hopefully you guys will like it
Okay, before the end of the world, so long ago that no one really knows how long ago it was. There was, basically World War III. After the conflict, the major governments of the world began to crumble, and, unfortunately for them, it was a political plot sent into action to leave the world to pieces so that one world-wide government could take over. This government was known as N. A. T .I. O. N. (National Anti-anarchy Tool and Internationally Organized Nation). A major corporation worked with this government, giving it the tech it needed to take control of Earth. This corporation was called Project: Warrior.
Project: Warrior eventually decided to take up arms against N. A. T. I. O. N., but the details of that war isn’t really important, basically it was mostly Black Ops. Until N. A. T. I. O. N. Finally took it to biological warfare. With the invention of a rapidly mutating virus that, like all viruses, changed the DNA and RNA of the cells it infected, but instead of just making copies of itself, the virus mutated the cells DNA in other ways, similar to what most people would think would come from radiation.
The accidental release of this virus was devastating the world. Because those in puberty and pre-puberty are better able to cope with changes in DNA, those that didn’t have any fatal mutations survived. Almost all adults died. Thus, the first generation of the survives were nearly all children. I’d like this RPG to take place 350 years afterwards.
Here’s the rundown on culture. What technology tribes can find, they consider it magic. Those with magic, pretty much don’t want anyone else to learn how. Reading (in one of the ancient languages), writing (again, only in one of the ancient languages), most skills we take for granted today (i.e. advanced algebra, and defiantly things like engineering) are considered "magic". Other then that, it’s pretty diverse, there are cannibalistic tribes, and other such crazy things, I’ll include an example of a few that your character could come from, farther down. There are three different basic kinds of tribes.
Urbans- Urbans are groups of people who live with-in and right next to cities (actually, most of them go solo, but there some gang-like tribes, but, anything is possible). Some of them are great "wizards" but the majority of them don’t know how technology actually works, they mostly jus know how to use it.
Nomads- Nomads are those tribes that make up the bulk of the population, and those that end to be the most social. They live just beyond the dangers of the fallen cities, in wild-like terrain. Though most of them are, not all nomad tribes are actually nomadic. If you’ve seen Mad Max: Beyond The Thunderdome, Barder Town is kind of like a high-tech bunch of Nomads, while the group of children would be a low-tech pack of Nomads.
Roughnecks- There is no known group of Roughnecks, they are most of the time (if not all the time), solo. If they do have companions, they are usually animals (sometimes even mutant ones that are intelligent). These guys live were it’s suppose to be uninhabitable, places where nature has taken back over, and where it doesn’t like to be disturbed. If a roughneck has any expeince with technology, it would be very rare.

Alright, here’s some examples:
The Vultures- A biker gang of Urbans that go around in makeshift vehicles, demanding tribute from nearby Nomad packs. They do a pretty good job of keeping them from fighting back, but that’s just because they have plenty of firing weapons, but unfortuanatley, they’ve latley been having trouble finding weapon stashes in the city they call home
The Lycanthropes- some strains of the virus stopped mutating so much, and thus left mutant families. Three of which have joined together as a Nomad pack, over the last 50 years, they have prospered pretty well. The three families are: The Wolf Brood, the Bear Brood, and the Cougar Brood. They aren’t actual werewolves or things like that, but they show characteristics of their respective animals, some of them more then others. They are very low-tech, almost none. They live close to the Wild Lands (where roughnecks live).
Roughnecks don’t have any tribes, nearly every single one is unique in most ways. Occasionally they form families, but that is just to prolong the species.

Alright, there you have it, there is also a race of beings known as Artifacts. Basically, they are clones, but almost everyone fears them, so PM me if you want more info on them.
I’ve given a lt of thought to this setting, so if you have any questions, I’ll probably be able to answer them.
Don’t worry about your character meeting the other characters, I have an idea that will get the plot going, and have all of our charters start together.

Alright, I tottaly forgot to explain something pretty vital. There are five ancient languages left, and six different types of "magic". America, England, China, Japan, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. (Currently, our worlds most technolgically advanced countries). The languages are pretty obvious for most of them, but, just in case, in Saudi Arabia they speak Arabic. The magics are called America magic, or England magic, they don't use the descriptive form of the name. If you want to be a "magician" or have more questins, PM me, or just ask them here.
