That it keeps happening.

On one hand it's ludicrous, but who can tell the difference between ludicrousness and humor these days?

It's also funny because Americans dug this abysmal hole of prejudice themselves - through ignorance and prejudice. Now, that is actually funny since the same flaws have caused the majority of the nation to go this long unaware of the problems. And, even more so, the humor continues in that the "average" American cant understand how prejudice and racism affects the economy.

Now, a tertiary facet comes from the fact that most all Americans do not realize the prejudice and social skirmishes are part of a destabilization of the nation. Our enemies are counting on our resistance to acceptance and the truth.

But, who cares?

So, in totality, I am laughing and crying, as it were. It's funny to see people run to and fro as if they were never warned by the very people they dismissed or scoffed at when they had the luxury to prepare.

So, social studies places feel threatened, and ones think it can be because they have been promoting demonstrations on campus, for equality and inclusion; and messages went to people specifically, who would have to be known personally by the writer, in order for the writer to know to send specific statements to them and not others.

I think of how Jesus says we can be persecuted and killed for doing what Jesus has us doing. We are told not to be surprised if people hate us for doing God's will, and to rejoice and be glad. So, it is wise to do what is worth dying to do.

Which is why vanity, idolatry and ignorance are so ridiculously useless in spiritual entities and those trying to be spiritual entities. You had better be sure the energy you put into something - abstraction or tangible - is something you would die for. If you put your energy in the Most High God, it will filter as love toward everything.
