Hello everyone :)
I am struggling with my church to understand my current concern. When i got saved and baptized i learned about sanctification. Most churches don't touch on this subject so it took a lot of searching for me to educate myself on this very important step. I was attacked very hard by the devil and it was a crazy journey. My question is : do you feel that churches should have a program to educate people about sanctification, the issues you will face after you start your journey, and to help people with the bible because it can be a little over whelming
recently my godchild got baptized at a tent revival and i am concerned about christians treating baptism like a check out lane and not doing our part to guide them and help them through their journey so they know that they are not alone and god does love them and is there:amen:

I really think they should too, but many do not. Salvation is such a personal journey. I was baptized by the Holy Spirit many months before my public baptism. I didn't have much guidance either. I turned to books for new Christians (along with prayer, reading the NT, and listening to Christian music). I also enrolled in a Lifegroup through my church. Within a couple months, the Lord had led me to a group of deeply faithful Christian women who could guide my way. It was especially moving that these women were there for my pubic baptism.

Our church has a connection card where you can let the pastor know if you have chosen Christ for the first time so he can contact you for further fellowship. I didn't feel called to do that since I really didn't know the pastors at all (I was new and the church is large).
