I suggest we talk about something else than war in Iraq.

There are many issues in Africa.

In Nigeria, there are riots (in an area of oil fields) between two tribes... How will it end ?
In Centrafrica there is a new preident, and the ancient one seems not to be regretted.
We don't hear much about Ivoary Coast, but I don't think the situation is good...
And what about Zimbabwe, Congo, Ouganga, Rwanda,... ?

Do you think Africa may still hope for a bright future ?
Do you think rich countries should forgot their debts ,which they will never be able to pay ? I think it would be a good thing to "boost" (...) african poor economy.

I think that the international organisations should be more interested in Africa's deep difficulties. It looks like often people are not really conscious of the atrocious living conditions in that part of the world.

We send a mission team of about 100 people to Africa once a year for two weeks. They are over there right now. God is doing many amazing wonders. Many are rescued, saved, healed and delivered.

God is really moving in Africa right now.

I think the African churches/christians my church know are a real encouragement for us, because they're not as lukewarm as ancient churches as in France.

It takes about 6 months of preparation to go over there. To do two different countrys in a two week period of time. Last year the associate paster went into one of the prisons and talked to the men on death row. Most all of them gloriously got saved. Now this year he found out that two or three of them are no longer going to be executed. That God spared them so they could give a witness and a testimony as to what He is doing in their lives.

 

[The Simple Plan]

It's heartbreaking to look at the poverty and the political/economic fighting that has dominated such a beautiful continent. For those of us who have been there as well, it is an amazing place of natural beauty.

There is however an amazing resilience and deep faith of many of the Christians I have met in and from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ghana and the Congo. A hope that they realise there home is not here and Jesus is coming soon.

Africa ......... well since you brought it up, when the US sent troops over to somalia to help feed the starving residents (as well as to get some really bad guys), the locals there hid behind women and children while firing their weapons. So I guess what we are seeing in iraq is nothing new.

i pray for Africa on thursdays. I pray around the world once a week . I support an AWANA club in the UER of Ghana

Great. Very harmonic. Beautiful people, wonderful beaches and nature. Some poordom, but a slowly growing country in wealth. Much belief in spirits etc.

To Western Congo(Not the one that was named Zaire before)  I was in class, I was 8-10 years old, I was there two years. My mother was a teacher for missionary kids there at the swedish camp. I was one of the kids. We were mostly at our camp, but now and then we drove outside on trips. Once on a safari in the jungle, also into villages. But the missionaries was the most outside, they didn't just tell about Jesus, but also helped much around, helping building bridges etc. I have many vivid memories, and I grew to be a more happy man out of it I think. Some might suspect you travel to very poor contries. But that wouldn't alltogether be true, they are very happy even when they have so little. Coming back to this world, where we live so rich, it's weird to see so much complaining, but I think it's natrual, cause I think very basic things are important to us, and we often forget it. I'm very happy to have been there at young age. I can thank my mother for that.

I dunno about that.. No idea about your churches, or the french
