  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Dear Friends
Does anyone know anything about the Afghani Christian who is sentenced to die?

Father I life up this holy martyr to You and ask that You give him the strength that he needs during this fiery trial. If possible, O Father, spare his life, and let this cup pass from him, but if You have decided to honour him with the martyr's crown, I pray that his entry into Your kingdom be a beautiful testimony that will lead others to You.
Amen

This Afghani Christian is Abdul Rahman who is sentenced to die in 2 months when the final ruling is passed down. the judge said he would be forgiven if he would change back...but Abdul has refused, saying that he is a Christian and can never be anything other. Praise our Lord for Abdul's steadfast Faith. Abdul is 41 and has been a Christian for 16 years. Let us pray for him and that the Lord may continue to give him His peace and love....

Will anyone join me in praying for him?

In the middle east, and the muslim world there are police and there is the Islamic Police.

In lebanon, we have established a safehouse to invite in new belivers.

Even if this guy gets released... People like this will continue to be killed all the time from the Islamic police. This is an international thing. It is in the Palestinian territories. It is throughout the muslim world. I have seen it many times. I have been threatened by them.

Just remember that these people need Christ. Things like this will continue to happen and must happen.

Still...we pray for this man's safety...for his deliverance from harm. Also for angelic help...if you will grant it Lord...as Peter received help from an angel.

Also Lord for salvations...for the power of the gospel to penetrate and the word of God to prevail in Muslim countries...Lord for walls to crumble that keep men's hearts away from Jesus...give people boldness to repent; convict them of the sin of unbelief...Lord that the blood of jesus will prevail and men and women, children will be saved.

Thank You Lord.

Yes, I have heard that they considered him insane, saying His constant praying was insane mumblings. Sounds fitting, the cross is foolishness to such as these anyway, and they would think us crazy. Let us all be fools for Yeshuah...

But yes, as one of you precious ones stated, the task now if for Mr. Rahman to be able to leave the country. Surely he is under the death threat.

Last I heard no one was willing to give him asylum...
Any new words on that?

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN (BosNewsLife) -- Religious rights investigators warned Thursday, March 30, that thousands of people in Afghanistan could face execution for converting from Islam to Christianity, a day after Italy granted asylum to a Christian convert.

US-based Christian Freedom International (CFI), which investigates cases of alleged persecution of Christians, said Abdul Rahman, who faced the death penalty for "abandoning Islam," is just one "of at least 10,000" converts in Afghanistan.

It was not immediately clear on what information the figure of 10,000 was based, but CFI is known to have close contacts with persecuted indivuals and churches in key areas of the world. The group stressed that many of these "new Christians live in secret" for fear they may be killed at a time when tensions are rising.

Encouraged by Muslim clerics, Afghans held protests in several cities of Afghanistan this week, shouting anti-Western slogans and demanding the killing of Rahman. Italian Prime Minister Minister Silvio Berlusconi confirmed Wednesday, March 29. that the 41-year old Rahman arrived in Italy and was "being looked after by the interior ministry."
