ADVENTIST MODS....please cometh!

Hello,

Several of us here are wondering if we could get a temporary cease fire of all the debating until the dust settles down on creating the new forum?

Could we be governed under just the site-wide and congregation-wide guidelines that say only members that agree with our church's statement of faith can post anything other than fellowship posts?

The forum is a mess right now and we'd like some peace, and we'd like to decide from there whether we want to open up debate later, and if so, do we want to revisit the rules for a debate section.

Is this doable and is it something that can be done quickly?

Finally, after almost 4 hours I got back into CF.

Lainie I think your Idea is an excellent one but I'm not sure of the mechanics needed to do this. However there is another very important subject to be aware of. I'll come back with a link in just a few.

Yeah, they want to ban any Traditionals. I'm actually VERY okay with that as long as they don't talk about us or pull our posts over there!

I agree. However it seems that a promise has been made concerning the post/threads. Aside from the fact that these post & threads could/will contain refferences made to, or about traditionals, pulling them would serve to effectively "gut" our forums here. We need to put our heads to gether.

Doc, are you sure you posted the right links? I don't see anything about moving over threads except the ones started by Progessives.

We have plenty here without those though. We might even get to revisit some old ones that we missed in the hubbub of it all.

It seems as if the whole progressive sub-forum is gone from here. I didn't know that was going to happen.

How quickly things happen when someone takes personal interest in it!

I know that some may not have many threads their and I don't either but I do have a couple.

Just found it interesting that they moved the whole forum.

it does seem very quick. we have been wanting this for years (well, speaking for myself and some others) and nothing. Then all of a sudden, BAM, there are gone! Weird, but good!

Can i make a suggestion....i would like to see the dicussion and debate forum gone. I think someone has already brought this up. I havent followed to much lately as it has been a nightmare trying to get on here with all the troubles the site has been having. But if someone did suggest it, i am for it. If someone hasnt suggested, i say lets get rid of it.

what about moderators now? will we only have sda moderators??? i hope so. are the ones who volunteered to moderate in the progressive area leaving as well to go to the progressive forum??? what is the situation on mods now???

Everyone just take a deep breath and be a little patient...With access pretty much stabelized as soon as we get information to what the results of all this will be, we will get the information out to the members.....

I enjoy discussions, maybe not so much with debates. But we can limit debates to SDA who agree with all 28 fundies and those who are studying to become Adventists.

We didn't remove them. They wanted to leave themselves.
