Again, on pain of death. This part seems to be missing from the history books.Wearing coins in a headband has always been a normal thing in the Arab world.
Roman coin was the currency of commerce in ancient Israel... They couldn't buy or sell with another currency.
Wait. What does wearing headbands with coins in them have to do with qualification to buy and sell? And when did the seven last plagues fall upon these people? (Rev. 16) And when were they cast into the lake of fire? (Rev. 19:20)Wearing coins in a headband has always been a normal thing in the Arab world.

Yeah, that's probably where I'd turn to if I wanted to justify disobeying God.As a law to keep. Those in Christ have entered the eternal Sabbath Hebrews 4.
Yes, I will, because I am aware that the ten commandments are obligatory to all men in all ages. But others are not, so they wouldn't. Nice try, though. Will you lose your salvation if you refuse to keep "the Sabbath"?
Oh, and that's a mighty nice non-answer to my question. Will you lose your salvation if you refuse to keep "the Sabbath"?
What is "under Law?" I don't think I am under anything, except grace. Perhaps I would be under the law if I believed that anything I could do in obedience to Him amounted to anything more than a meager offering of devotion, however obligatory it may be. I try to be careful to obey Him because I love Him and because it is my reasonable duty as His servant and creation. We are not under Law. Saved people do not need law.
If you don't think you are saved, that's why all the confusion. No faith = no salvation. You need law, all you can get. What is "under Law?" I don't think I am under anything, except grace. What is a "saved" person? I don't think I am saved. I'm still here.
I believe I have been born again and that I have been buried with Christ in figurative baptism (since literal baptism--of which I also have partaken--is only an outward sign and affirmation of an inward condition) and raised to newness of the life I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me. And that He is the Author and Finisher of my faith, and that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until the great day of His second coming.
Are you to be saved by works of the law?Oh, and that's a mighty nice non-answer to my question.
You have fallen from grace according to Paul.Yes, I will, because I am aware that the ten commandments are obligatory to all men in all ages. But others are not, so they wouldn't. Nice try, though.
I am pretty sure that never happened.. .So there was actually a time when people were required, on pain of death, to walk around with Roman coins on their foreheads or in their right hands?
Saved by grace through faith - and under the New Covenant the "LAW of God is written on the heart and mind" Jer 31:31-33.Are you to be saved by works of the law?
We are not under Law. Saved people do not need law.

So what, Arabs don't claim to be the Antichrist. Besides, we are talking about what Adventists believe, not Arabs. It has to do with the emphasis of their denomination - the Sabbath. Thus, to them worshiping God on Sunday is the mark of the beast. And the beast to them is the pope, who "changed times and laws."
So what, Arabs don't claim to be the Antichrist.
No---not to us. The mark of the beast being the Pope has been around for centuries and first started by the Catholic priests themselves,
Pope Gregory I said: "I say with confidence that whoever calls or desires to call himself 'universal priest' in self-exaltation of himself is a precursor of the Antichrist." and that was in AD 597!
Maurice (emperor) - Wikipedia
Arnulf, archbishop of Reims disagreed with the policies and morals of Pope John XV. He expressed his views while presiding over the Council of Reims in A.D. 991. Arnulf accused John XV of being the Antichrist while also using the 2 Thessalonians passage about the "man of lawlessness" (or "lawless one"), saying: "Surely, if he is empty of charity and filled with vain knowledge and lifted up, he is Antichrist sitting in God's temple and showing himself as God." This incident is history's earliest record of anyone identifying a pope with the Antichrist (see Christian Historicism).[34][35]
All the reformation priests said the same thing---such as Luther, Wycliff, Calvin. It is what all Protestants believed. That did not change until the Cathoilic church spent about 18 years coming up with Luis de Alcasars' version of interpreting Rev. during the counter reformation in the late 1500-1600's----You can look it up---it's part of History.
What is amazing is that today---most Protestants have forgotten all about their roots and started believing the Catholic version! And forgotten all about the many sects throughout history who kept the 7th day Sabbath centuries before there was an SDA, including the diciples. Not one verse in the bible says that Sunday wass kept by the dicipklesd as a day of worship. Only that they met oin that day---and breaking bread also meant "eating together" not just communion as it later became known as.
They don't say anything at all about "Roman coins".
No informed Adventist believes that the mark of the beast has yet been administered. It must become compulsory by criminal law first. So what, Arabs don't claim to be the Antichrist. All I'm saying is what Adventists believe, not when it started. Do you believe:
1. The mark of the beast is Sunday worship?
2. The Antichrist will be a pope?
Not all ProtestantsWhen it becomes mandated to worship on that day by law---yes.
Yes. He will regain His authority over the world that He used to hold. And Protestants will follow along---they are already beginning to.
