Advent started today. It is a time to prepare for JESUS second coming and HIS first coming. And most importantly HIS daily coming into our hearts.

Today's prayer said: LORD JESUS, We begin this season of Advent by lighting the first canle on our Advent wreath. May we be watchful for YOUR coming in glory at the end of time. Help us to prepare to see YOU face to face. May we Live in the light of your coming. Amen!

For Eastern Orthodox, today is the 13th day of Advent, the Advent Fast in preparation for the Nativity Feast having started on 11/15.
The Scripture for Today is Psalm 2. i won't quote it all but it ends with the wonderful line--"BLESSED ARE ALL WHO TAKE REFUGE IN HIM!"
May all of us indeed be blessed as the wonderous day of our Lord's birth approaches, and may we all be 1 in Him!

i'm really sorry. I have been very busy sending out Christmas Cards. Each evening we light the one candle. Almost everyday at mass we hear about Advent and that we need to be getting ready for JESUS return. one day we sang my song: Soon and Very soon. Wed. 11/30 was overshadowed by St. Andrew. (we had a cake cause it is one of my son's name day)
