So I was collecting the mail yesterday, on September 15, and there it was....the letter informing me that I can order my Advent book from the Unity church right away. This being two weeks before I put out all the Halloween Decorations, and over 6 months until November, and then a month after that when Advent starts.......
SO yes I am ordering it now just to have it ready.
But I started thinking about holidays, and how challenging this year has been for so many of us. Christmas will be a welcome gift this year, perhaps more than usual.
But let us not encroach just yet. yes, there will be time for the spiritual preparation for Christmas which is Advent.
Still let us always be ready to prepare for the Gifts from the Lord. Let us always be mindful and responsive to the Spirit within. Let us take life in a slower pace, stopping to relax and relish in the beauty of all seasons, and appreciate each day and night as the Gifts that they are.
