This man of God passed away yesterday. :( It shocked me when I heard the news today on the radio.

I don't know how many of you have heard of him, but he was a preacher who had a national t.v. broadcast and a daily radio broadcast. He was from Memphis and that's where he preached for over 30 years. The ministry he named was Love Worth Finding: http://www.lwf.org/ & here's his website: http://www.adrianrogers.org/.

I am going to miss & definitely cherish the messages that would pass through him from God. He spoke in a such a clear/bold/loving way. I looked forward to his preaching everyday while at work. At home, it was a blessing to see him preach on Sundays.

It's a sad thought to think he won't preach anymore...

You are right Julian, I corrected that. Thanks!

So have you heard him preach before?

Not in person, but his was one of several I listened to immediately after being saved. His messages helped feed my soul when I wasn't in church and in addition to my devotions. I've continued to listen to his preaching. I'm also appreciative of another deceased pastor, J. Vernon McGhee. What is it with this Pentecostal (me) and Baptist preachers?;) They drive me nuts with their cessationist and OSAS doctrines, but I love 'em anyway!

I listened to him as a new Christian before I found a good church. (and after). His show convinced me that all televangelists weren't crackpots. He was a wonderful loving man and I'm going to miss him badly! :(

I also love McGee - his recordings are still on some radio stations and his books on the Bible are really just transcriptions of his messages. I can't wait to meet him in heaven - he must be a real character!
