  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I started with a prayer very similar to this one:

O most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son.
Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection. Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God's law is the foundation on which this nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life.

Trusting in your most powerful intercession, we pray,

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer us. Amen
I played the Rosary
http://www.rosary-center.org/howto.htm

I prayed what was in my heart. Essentially for protection for my family and country, and that people, by the grace of God, not be blinded, but see the election in the light of reality.

I prayed about 20 dinner blessings (for reparations):
Bless us oh Lord,
and these Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive,
through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

I implored the blood of the Martyr's to cry out for the sake of the unborn about 30 times.
Blood of the Martyr's, cry out for us!

I asked:
Sacred Blood of Jesus Christ, Save us!
on behalf of the unborn 55 times.

Then:
Lord, not my will but Thine be done.
55 times.

Then I prayed the dinner prayer many more times.

I prayed a song about the Beatitudes from the Missal.

Then the Litany of Saint Joseph.

And then I finished praying the dinner prayer until the Holy Hour was up.
.........

I hope that by praying the dinner prayer I can give our Lord some consolation, and open up a channel for grace to flow into homes across the country, by blessing their meals that we so often fail to thank God for. I know that I go pretty fast, but my temperament demands the speed to resist becoming lost or distracted.
