  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No I would not let Hitler out of hell. Nor would I let anyone else out of hell. We all deserve to go there, and only avoid it by the grace of God through the blood of Christ. To let anyone out of hell would be to blaspheme the blood of Christ as the only thing precious enough to pay our debts.

Dear R3quiem. After reading some of your replies, I can only say: " Thank you dear God, for being in control." I know that our God is a loving and righteous God, He knows our hearts, wishes, and thoughts. God can be trusted to judge mercifully, yet with absolute Righteousness. I say this with humility and love. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

See, that's what I never understood about Christian theology: a loving and righteous deity that condemns people to an eternity of suffering for... what? Not being a follower of a particular religion, despite the fact that it is one unspectacular religion among thousands?

I'm curious to see what people have to say...

If you had ability to do so, would you let Hitler out of Hell? (Assuming he is in hell that is, nobody can really now for sure...)

I'm obviously not saying anyone DOES have the power to do such a thing, but if you could, WOULD you?

Yes I would let him out. Everyone deserves a second chance. People don't become what they are simply because they want to you must understand that many people become who they are because of their past they grow up to be killers because thats how they were raised. Even when they get older many people are unwillingly to change because they are too stubborn by then.

If I had the authority to do so, I would. But not without putting him through the lake of fire to cleanse the flesh and the enemy from him first. Without the flesh, which is totally hostile toward God, and the enemy, he has a much better chance of bowing the knee and declaring Jesus as Lord and Savior.

It seems Hitler had the same nature as the rest of us...

Rom 3:10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;
Rom 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;
Rom 3:12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
Rom 3:13 "THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE, WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING," "THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS";
Rom 3:14 "WHOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS";
Rom 3:15 "THEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD,
Rom 3:16 DESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS,
Rom 3:17 AND THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN."
Rom 3:18 "THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES."

And yet, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

An eternity of suffering for sins against god. God has given every oppertunity for everyone to share his love. When you refuse and turn your back on god then why should he allow you into heaven?

I guess you have to be a christian to know how spectacular it is.

I have not read the thread so I have no idea what all has been covered. Kind of wanted to make an initial observation/reaction first. ;)

I believe Hitler will be one of the most humble men in heaven once he is fully reconciled to God through whatever smelting process God has in store for him.

Think about it this way, forget Hitler for a second, what about 90% of the 6 million jews he tortured and murdered that didn't accept or believe Christ was the messiah?

During their suffering I'm sure many prayed to God in their jewish orthadox beliefs. I'm sure for many as they watched all they ever loved destroyed, a hope in God was all they had. I'm sure as many faced death they held onto the hope of the God they loved. They were sincere.

Imagine after death to face the God you loved and trusted only to have him reject you and toss you in hell with the man that tortured you on earth, because of your sincere beliefs the messiah had not come. Their error wasn't disbelief as much as it was doctrine and tradition passed on generation after generation. Like most cultures, children grew up being indoctrinated and trained in the parents belief.

For them God will turn out worse that Adolf was.....

Not directed at me but I would like to answer as if it was.

Because for me...I know this is not the true God. This is only the false belief of who God is much of the Christian faith teaches. There is a core of believers like myself however who teach a loving God who works towards the reconciliation of all either in this life or following.

But, what was incorrect about his analysis? Jews in the concentration camps probably did pray to God, and I daresay would be dismayed that their faith was rewarded with eternal damnation. Would deceased Jews be wrong for thinking that the God they prayed to is/was worse than Hitler? Or, do you perhaps believe that dead Jews go to Heaven?

In any case, you still end up worshipping a being who wilfully allowed his chosen people to be exterminated by the millions... that can't be easy to swallow.

If you believe God is worse than Hitler, why are you a Christian?

Look at it this way, if you loved and served the God of the OT with a sincere heart, even while enduring human suffering and torture from Hitler, only to die and find out the God you loved would treat you worse than Hitler......how would you feel?

When God puts these millions of jews that loved and served him into eternal torture, what do you think would be worse, a few years of torture under Hitler that at least ended with death or to be placed and tortured by God in hell for eternity?

I guess like most you somehow feel they deserve to be tortured for all eternity?

I almost cringe when I hear people say "we all deserve to be put in hell"

Let me state clearly, I know I don't deserve to be tortured for all eternity.

I am pretty sure I made clear my beliefs already so asking me again seems a bit disingenuous.

Let me ask you a question. If you could choose a nature for an omnipotent being...God in other words...would you prefer one who gives us a free will or one who simply makes us all mindless robots?

Actually, you didn't. I have no idea what your beliefs are. Do you believe Jews are going to Hell? Do you believe Jews who died in concentration camps, who prayed to God for an end to the suffering of them and their children, are in Hell?

And, I asked my question again because you didn't seem to answer it: what, exactly, was wrong with his (Armistead14's) analysis? What part, exactly, do you not agree with? You don't seem to have addressed this issue of the 'Jewish plight' at all.

Let me ask you a question. If you could choose a nature for an omnipotent being...God in other words...would you prefer one who gives us a free will or one who simply makes us all mindless robots?
Depends. Most monotheists say free will comes with the inescapable caveat of unimaginable suffering, so it should be obvious I'm rather against that option. Delineated:
1) Free will without suffering,
2) Automata without suffering,
3) Automata with suffering,
4) Free will with suffering.
Where (1) is the most preferable, and (4) is the least.

Well here was my statement I referred to...

"There is a core of believers like myself however who teach a loving God who works towards the reconciliation of all either in this life or following."

That and the fact I have identified myself as a universal reconciliationist I thought was an answer but I will be more specific.

No I do not believe the Jews will spend an eternity in hell. There was nothing wrong with his analysis if you believe in eternal damnation...I don't. In fact his analysis was brilliant in pointing out the fallacy of such a view.
