Personally, I'd rather live a normal life and be allowed to shake hands and hug and take my chances.
The thing is..I think it's always going to be here, unfortunately.with fibromyalgia, I have NO energy
so no energy to fight a potentially deadly virus
last time my kid passed me a cold, she was well in a wk
took me a whole month to get over a cold!
that was about 7 yrs ago
now I stay away from her if she gets a cold
I DO want people to stay away as long as covid is here!
husband went out of town & I made him quarantine at a hotel when he returned, lol
people are still getting covid/dying in county where I live
masks have been "optional" for some time- in stores, school district, etc
people no longer social distance, either!
yesterday went to drug store for my monthly visit
woman w/o mask pushed her cart right up to counter left of me so she was right beside me
I ended up moving over to right to wait for my change
how can I not get covid when NO ONE cares anymore?
YOU DO know the vaccine is to prevent hospitalization/death
I don't want covid period cause I don't have energy to fight anything
God has let almost one million people die from covid including over 1,000 children! not to mention all those who end up with long haul covid:
The tragedy of long COVID - Harvard Health
"And let others live their lives as they wish. In fact, love them - even when it costs you."
not going to happen!
people ...stay 6 ft AWAY from me
It seems reasonable, don't you think, for them to assume that, if you're in a public place like a grocery store, you are willing to run the risk of infection.
Omicron is not like the initial COVID we saw.
I'm 17 With Long-Haul COVID, & I’m Terrified I Will Never Live A Normal Life
"Almost two years later, I still have long-term lung damage and COVID-related health issues that have landed me back in the hospital multiple times. Every time it happens, I feel enraged first and then terrified that I won’t ever be able to live a normal life."
SO yes, covid is something to avoid especially with risk of long haul
another rude, maskless person got on top of me in line & took MY space at the cash register
I'm wearing a mask & now he's smiling so broadly like he's mocking me!
A while back a friend had shared that she told a person who was too close to her in line at the register, "Unless you plan on paying for my stuff, you have no reason to be this close.
