I understood immediately that she was referring to peoples intermingling and man's incessant cross-breeding of animals that they themselves wouldn't do in nature that resulted in the variations. Today it's hard to find a 'purebred' race upon this earth (if there ever truly was) .Races and nationalities of people interbreed now without much of a thought. But hundreds of years ago--cross marriage was rare. I know this is what she meant.

Apart from the poor comprehension your view of "amalgamation of man AND beast" reflects I am appalled you think there is some honor in making these warped views of humans public. If you think it is against the Creator's will for his varied ethnicities to inter-marry you must hate yourself because you are not pure by any stretch of the imagination.

Night--you see what YOU WANT to see my friend. Many years ago when I read EGW's 'amalgamation' statement, not once did I think that she was referring to man and animals procreating--not once! How absurd to even imagine such a thing.

When it was brought to my attention a few years ago on Yahoo that some were saying that she meant that man and animals were procreating--I laughed till I cried. I thought to myself' "how could any idiot actually think that she was referring that"? It still amazes me.

it amazes me that someone could think that humans "crossbreed." They don't.... and it is idiotic to think that they do....

Cross-marriage? Purebred race? For someone who doesn't want to be viewed as a racist, and denies adamantly that they are, your posted views on some topics are not helping your case..... not at all....

There is only one race on this planet and its the human race, some Adventists subconscious racist mindset need to get that in their head if they intend to live eternally with their non white fellow men. EGW views are not a surprise for her time the average 19th century white person was not exactly a proponent of seeing non white human as their true equal, however we Christians living today in 2007 have no excuse for such ignorance.

Many times I have been called a racist and a bigot because of my political views on the illegal immigration problem. I resent this immensely.

I am NOT a racist nor a bigot. For heavens sake--ALL my ancestors are immigrants to this country. But the BIG difference is that they did it LEGALLY. I have copies of my father's and grandmother' passports from Sweden. And guess what, back then, no one trying to make a phone call to a company had to press #2 from Swedish!

I DO believe in law and order. So if that makes me a racist or bigot, then those who think that need a lesson in what true racism is. I also have Native American Indian in me, and have heard my grandfather many times complain about the 'white man" and how they cheated the Indians out of their own land and the corruption of the American government.

And so--I am VERY keen about "IMMIGRATION". After all--look what happened to the NAI's because they could not stem it's tide.

It makes no sense to me to have to stand for hours in an airport--getting patted down like a common criminal-having your luggage x-rayed and sifted thru because YOU might be terrorist, while allowing our borders to remain wide open for any tom, dick or harry to stroll across as they please.

It is the DUTY of the federal government to PROTECT our borders. They are NOT doing this because they want the North American Union to develop.

We also cannot be blind to the fact that those who are coming by the MILLIONS ILLEGALLY into this country are not here to better this country. They are draining our resources and drying up the Social Security funds that hard working Americans have contributed to.

And to make this perfectly clear--I don't care which direction or of what nationality illegals come from, what they are doing is WRONG, pure and simple. I am against the WRONG acts of these individuals. If that makes me a racist or a bigot, then those of you who are against rapists and murderers are bigots too. Shame on your for judging those ppl who are just trying to 'have a better life' at the expense of others.

By the way, for those of your who have accused me of this, why not ask my ethnic clients if they think I am a racist. They will laugh in your face.

Of course, the plea is made to illegal immigration on this thread. It will take a little more verbal gymnastics to twist out of it when one maintains there is no longer a 'pure-bred race' left.

My ancestors immigrated as well, but I don't think we should allow illegals in our country. If someone wants to come to this country come in the right way. Go through the proper channels.

Do you know what the penalty for illegally entering Mexico is?

My son and his finacee have been in the process of applying for a finacee visa. It is going on six months now and they just got a notice in the mail that the "application" for the visa has just been approved. That was just the APPLICATION - not the actual visa.

Meanwhile she lives in Poland and he lives here.
