Aman, there's nothing wrong with wrestling with scripture and formulating theories about our origins and early existence. My only caution is to stay flexible. If you believe in God's word, allow it to shape your views and thus your theories.
Dear Calminian, I have allowed God's Holy Word to shape my views. I first told my preacher of my views in 1976. He laughed at me. He is still my friend and I keep him advised on my views which I have posted online for more than 15 years. Until I came to this board, I debated Godless Evols, who hate me as bad as they do God.
Cal:>>There are 2 issues I focused on in regard to your theory you're presenting. The destruction of the 1st heaven which you say happened in the flood.
I support my views with two or more witnesses from Scripture, from both the Old and New Testaments. The total destruction of the first heaven is documented from Genesis to Revelation. I have posted some of them here, as well as to Darwinists, and NO one has ever refuted my view. Only Evols have tried. Christians normally don't say anything and the ones who do agree with me because they can see that I support my views with Scripture.
Cal:>>And the meaning of the term "earth" in scripture. You haven't defended your positions in these areas yet.
Earth in Hebrew is the word ground or land. I have posted that ground with form, and void or empty, as it is shown in Genesis 1 1-2, I call dust. The ground of the first earth, made on the 3rd Day, was totally and completely destroyed in the Flood. Today, it is at the bottom of Lake Van.
The first earth was not a big as our planet since it was contained within the firmament of the first heaven, which was in the water and out of the water of the largest Lake in the mountains of Ararat. The first heaven was made before the Stars and Scripture does not say it had Stars. Any resemblence to the Myth of Atlantis is purely coincidental.
Cal:>>Now you bring up science and I would caution you about the usefulness of science as well. Scientific theories come and go. I trust the history in the Genesis record more than any naturalistic theory out there.
Me too. I search for the agreement of science and history with God's Holy Word and find it everywhere. The standard which is measured against, is Scripture. God's Holy Word is the standard, and I find it infallible.
Cal:>>The supernatural explanations in scripture are much more believable and seem to fit better with what I now observe in the present than the naturalistic theories which have to go back some 13 billion years before coming to a dead end. I believe in science, but origins science I have great doubts about.
God tells us the beginning of our Universe, which Science calls the Big Bang, was caused by Jesus on the 3rd Day. This means there was some 9 Billion years, in man's time, BEFORE the Big Bang IF the Big Bang was 13.7 Billion years ago, as science measures it. The present 6th Day began when Jesus made the beasts of the field and brought them to Adam who named them. The present 6th Day will not end until at least a thousand years from now, since the millenium, after Jesus returns, is also on the present 6th Day.
God's creation will not be complete until the last sinner to be saved is saved and present in the third heaven. Then and only then will God rest from ALL of His work, which He created and made. Genesis 2:2 and repeated in Genesis 2:3. God will NOT rest from ALL of His work until His creation is brought to perfection or Finished, as Genesis 2:1 tells us. Then the 7th Day, which is Eternity, will begin. The 7th Day has no ending, no evening. We will live forever with Jesus in the Age of Joy, the 7th Day. God Bless you.
In Love,
Aman
