Did Adam have a belly button? Sounds silly, but even though he wasn't born, he would have if God created the universe with a "history".

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God only knows. Well, and Adam and Eve too of course. Much like the controversy over whether Jonah was swallowed by a fish or whale (since we make a distinction nowadays) it really doesn't matter for anything beyond trivial curiousity.

It could be relevant in the debate concerning the age of the earth.
If Adam and Eve didn't have belly buttons, then God didn't create His creations with "history". If He didn't create His creations with "history", then there are some aspects of observable earth that are pretty puzzling.

I would say it's pretty safe to say Adam and Eve didn't have belly buttons. Belly buttons are not a sign of "history" since even new babies have belly buttons. Naturally Adam and Eve wouldn't have belly buttons because of the way they were created. So I would find it odd that God would just add belly buttons to them. Also observable earth isn't an old earth even though 7,000 years is pretty old compared to human time. We think the earth and universe are billions of years old because that's what evolutionists have brain washed us into believe by repeating it over and over in schools, magazines and tv. Dating methods rely on naturalistic, old earth assumptions. Many geological items that people would think would point to old earth can be explained by things like a world flood.OleManPete said:

There is no way whatsoever to find out; at least not until we get to heaven. Then we can ask Adam and Eve in person, (though I don't think I'd have the cheek!

I Personally Think that Adam and Eve had Belly Buttons. Just as we have them today. Wouldnt it be weird if their kids were born and had a belly button but their parents didnt. I think that they probably had them. Although there is no scriptural reference to such a question. Of course maybe they didnt have them and that was a way to tell the great great etc. grandkids they were made directly by God. A very interesting question. I still say they had them, although it really makes no difference as far as I am concerned.OleManPete said:
