It would seem that we've done a lot of talking lately about CF and its recent path back to exclusive conservatism. Well, for those of us who plan on sticking it out to the bitter end, there's a sign up sheet on the wall. We have coffee in the pot and some fresh cookies about to come out of the oven. You can pull up a chair and bring some snacks.

Feel free to vigorously discuss the forums, or just watch it burn.

Ah, my favorite, that. Though I've been thinking of trying this Earl Bergemot that Peet's is selling.

CF doesn't worry me too much, as long as there are still good people here to defend the ranks of sanity.

I think I read somewhere that bergemot is a carcinogen.

Sometimes I think about taking up Yerba Mate, just because it's cool to sip from a gourd through a metal straw. But, you know, I think I'll just stick to coffee. Make mine a double espresso, one sugar. Thanks.

I'm thinking about boycotting DoH. I actually enjoy the debate there, but I really disagree with banning the non-Christians.

I keep thinking that if the libs boycott, or leave, or get driven off, then the cons will turn on each other. When the carnage ends, there will be a small group of like-minded individuals left at CF...

...who have nothing to talk about!

Got anything to eat around here?

*tosses a lemon onto the table for the tea*

DB, are you really going with pantheist?
It's additive, not exclusive- I'm still a Christian. I just changed my icon so that the assumptions people make from my icon will be more relevant to my actual beliefs (which stem from a very strong emphasis on the importance of omnipresence and the incarnation)

I've heard it's good to avoid taking it with other pharmaceuticals, but it's otherwise benign afaik. But perhaps I'll just stick with the tried an true. If it's good enough for captain Picard, it's good enough for me.

I wish I could. I really do. It's just that I get confused too much.. and if there's all this going on.. If I find somewhere more stable, somewhere easier to figure out, somewhere the places I'm welcome won't change depending on how I am.. then that place would become my main, at least for when I'm confused.. and I'd probably ultimately forget about here like I've forgotten about the places I've been before I came here.

I'm here, but for an indefinite time that does not depend on the state of these forums. I wish it was not so, but I don't control these matters, at least not the memory..

And now you're also voluntarily excluding yourself from non "fluff" parts of the site.

I admire the stand.

I'd love to here more about your view on these, because I too find these two things to be the most central parts of my faith.

Oh, and I had chai tea this morning, and it is making for a very pleasant day.

I cannot reconcile pantheism with orthodoxy. However, I can reconcile the EO version of panentheism, and I might could believe that. I'd have to study it in more depth before I could say for sure.

I think I'll have a cup of Irish Breakfast tea while I think about it. I take mine with lemon and stevia (a natural low calorie sweetener).

Oh, I am panentheistic actually- CF just doesn't have an icon for that, and anyways I like galaxies.
