Let me make sure i got this right. Adam and Eve lived in paradise and a lizard/snake talked Eve into eating a apple. As a result the world isn't perfect anymore because god got angry that Eve disobeyed him by eating a apple. Is this a true story?
Hi Someone!

First thing is that it was Satan that talked Eve into eating the fruit. Then Eve talked Adam into eating the fruit. The bible doesn't say it was an apple, just a fruit.

But yeah, God was mad because Adam and Eve disobeyed His command not to eat the fruit, and so He cast them out of the Garden of Eden.

See, anytime we disobey God, there is a punishment for that. WIth Adam and Eve the punishment was long lasting. I don't understand why, but then God does say that His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.

This is one of the questions I'm going to ask Him when I see Him, that and which star He made first.

Yeah, it's true. It did happen.

God Bless,

JR

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Genesis 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Mankind has inherited the curse of death from their father and mother, Adam and Eve. Yes, we still die by that same curse today, but are redeemed from that curse by the new Adam - Jesus, who broke the curse and became the first fruit of many that would be born to new life through resurrection of the new birth.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

All the stories of the Bible are true. :) As far as whether it was a lizard or a snake (some say it was more of an ape like creature...and that's the reason that apes drag their knuckles on the ground and can't stand upright)...really, the point is that it was Satan in the body of an animal. I don't think that God was so much angry as He was saddened. Adam and Eve were not thrown out of the garden in anger...the HAD to leave the garden. They had sinned (disobeyed God) which destroyed the oneness with God...they set themselves apart from God. They previously had walked with God in the garden, side by side. There can be no sin in the presence of God...therefore God sent them out of the garden and into the world. The world was never perfect or without sin...only the paradise (the garden) that exists in the presence of God was perfect and sinless.

Love, Heather

And also god didn't punish all of mankind he just punished Adam & Eve?

Adam and Eve's transgressions were perpetuated and handed down to all people. Just as Adam could make a choice and separate humanity from God, God can send His Son to unite humanity with God again. The selfish act of one person, is countered with a completely selfless act by God's son Jesus Christ.
