  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

i found this interesting:

Acts 1 shows the spiritual exercises of the disciples prior to the coming of the Spirit. These exercises were based on the promise of the Spirit's coming, the prophecies of the coming kingdom in power, and the promise of Christ's return--but not on a vision of Christ actually in the glory.
Christ's entrance into glory was hidden from their [Apostles unto the Jewish nation] view by the cloud. Their [revelatory] mission was not the unfolding of the heavenly sphere and our union with Christ there as members of His body. This was reserved for Paul.
The full complement of the twelve apostles was established according to an OT means. All was now ready for the Spirit's coming at the opening of the heavenly parenthesis.
The ministry of the twelve had especially in view testimony to the death, resurrection and exaltation of Christ.

All but the last sentence I can live with. The testimony of the twelve had to do with the KINGDOM gospel and not with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the means by which they were saved. Their focus was PROPHECY...NOT mystery. Their focus was ISRAEL and an earthly rule with twelve tribes, twelve apostles, twelve thrones and an earthly MESSIAH and KING. That program is no longer on the table.

The MYSTERY is the focus of todays economy..NOT prophecy. ONE Lord, ONE faith , ONE baptism as opposed to the number 12 that was significant in Israels gospel of the KINGDOM.

ONE new apostle, not having to do with the twelve OR their gospel, but with NEW information for a NEW MAN, a NEW CREATION which is the Body of Christ.

Acts 9 is the only place where scripture shows a clear picture of when and where the MYSTERY message was given. Paul is the first member of the Body of Christ, and NOT where the Acts 2 folks think it started...acts 2 is clearly still a very Jewish program in full swing.

In case you don't know, hyperdispensationalism started out as Acts 28 with Bullinger.

Acts 28 proved to be too dumb, so somebody came up with Acts 13.

Acts 13 proved to be too dumb, so somebody came up with Acts 9.

Acts 9 ....
