I was doing a greek word study on the similarity of the ascension of Jesus in Acts 1 and the ascension of the 2 witnesses in Reve 11.
Both are taken in a cloud and it would seem those in Acts 1 looking at Jesus are also the ones that are killed and taken up.
Different greek words are used in Acts concerning the Apostles looking at Jesus and the Enemies of the 2 witness looking at them.
I will try to parse and interpret the different greek words here as time allows.

Acts 1:9 And these things saying, of looking /blepontwn <991> (5723) of them, He was lifted-up/taken-away, and a cloud took up Him from their eyes.
10 And as looking-intently/atenizonteV <816> (5723) into the heaven of going of Him and behold! men, two, stand beside them in garments, white.
11 Who also say "men! Galileans! why ye stand looking/embleponteV <1689> (5723) into the heaven thus shall be coming which manner ye gaze/eqeasasqe <2300> (5662) Him going into the heaven".
Reve 11:11 And after the three days and half-equal, a spirit of life out of the God entered on them and they stand on their feet and great fear falls upon the ones beholding/qewrountaV <2334> (5723) them.
12 And they hear a great voice out of the heaven saying to them "Ascend ye hence"! And they ascended into the heaven in the cloud and behold/eqewrhsan <2334> (5656) them their enemies
