I usually find out what's in the agreement before playing. If something like Punkbuster is automatically installed and has an agreement, I won't install the game. Not because I cheat, because I find cheating quite lame, but because of the "what if" that could happen. Only takes one time for someone to go postal at PB and start invading people's computers getting secure information.

Do you read the whole terms and agreements for online games
I usually do, at least some portions of it but sometimes all of it, either before or sometime after I install it. Some sections are usually the same, but there are sometimes parts to take note of.

Most don't read them of course. What was that game.... oh yeah it was eternal-lands, at the launch of that game they hid the registration code inside the TOS, and though they had a huge amount of downloads for their free mmo, very few realized where the registration code was since few actually bothered to read the agreement. It was a big laugh for the developers, but they did wind up removing that little prank. Just shows though, very few actually read the TOS.

btw, that's how most people pick up malware anyway, they don't read the license/TOS, which is suppose to list anything extra being installed with the software; you know, the malware stuff that snoops your information and sends it to 3rd parties?

For games I usually don't. But if I'm installing software, usually software from small companies or shareware, I read it. Sometimes you'll find out that they clearly state that they install adware to your computer!
