Are you both a Christian AND a Muslim?
There are a host of other books that say that too.
How do we evaluate whether the Bible is inspired by God, or a God?
Because thats what it says in the book?

And yes, I can go before your God and tell Him exactly why I didn't see Him.

Beliefs alone hurt no one. An idea can't hurt you. Action can and do.
The Christian "salvation plan" is a mockery of justice at all levels, and goes against the claimed nature of God.
Who do you think Jesus is?
He's God.
Believe me, when stand before Him...you won't be saying much of anything.
How can you claim it goes against the nature of a god whom you don't even know?...
Lilly of the Valley said:By what God Himself has said and says now in this day...it's that simple.

There have been many people to claim to either be God, or speak directly on its behalf. There have been many more to testify to miracles that prove one version of spiritual metaphysics or another. The problem is that nearly all the claims are unverifiable, and none of them fall within something like my personal experience with this universe.
So, I am left with sincere doubt. I can't merely just decide to be a particular brand of theist, as I still wouldnt really believe in it. I would be lying to everyone and myself, to say that I actually thought like they did, when, I doubt I have anything like the capacity to do so. I would consider this pretend sort of theist to be a greater insult to your position and beliefs than my current agnosticism.
I have to treat claims equally; it's a bit of a pain to be consistent. I can no more just pick one and fly with it outside of what my personal experience tells me than you could just decide for a week to believe in Zeus (as discussed earlier).
Your claim to a doctrine with special metaphysical knowledge is a bit hollow, because, well, nearly every theist claims that their metaphysical belief system is the best.
True...a lot of people claim their way is rt...thus....you truly have to decide and you will be soley responsible for the decision you make....and to God...lack of decision is actually a decision.

If you but your beliefs and ideas into action and they are not good or true it can and do hurt.
Your beliefs are illlustrated by your actions.

D McCloud said:I don't see the logical connection between what we want to believe and we what we actually believe.
Assuming we have any control over our destiny now, what would it matter if he created puppets or not? Would god's plan for me change if I was a puppet?
Casiopeia said:In my mind it isn't possible to believe in something I don't want to believe in.
I decide what I believe in not some God. I try to put myself in the place of a being capable of creating life and I don't see the point of controling that life's every thought and action. But then I am not a control freak either
Now see i don't quite agree. Any rational person who KNOWS something is true however much they wish it wasn't isn't forced into believing, they ACCEPT it. As I always tell my kids, there are NO victims hereD McCloud said:I think we can only believe what we know. For instance, I don't want to believe that there are people who are deliberately deceptive. However, I know that people like this exist, and therefore i'm forced to believe it.
