Ok, so I started going to church 26th May, the church was so welcoming and I've stuck with it. I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

On Sunday I accepted God into my life because since praying and daily bible I have seen a massive difference in my life, just knowing that there is someone up there looking out for me and someone who will be there unconditionally makes me feel so much better.

Welcome to the family sister. It is wonderful to hear of the changes happening in your life, and your assurance that God is with you and 100 percent for you. Do you understand that when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you were adopted as a daughter into Gods family? The word of God says that as a child of God you can go boldly before His very throne at any time:

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

You have enormous privileges as a child of God that you may not be aware of. Here are some of them:

Privileges of the Child of God

I would ask you these questions:

Do you understand what it means to be born again?

Do you understand what it means that the Holy Spirit lives within you?

Again, welcome :) God bless you

Great news! Thanks for sharing.

just knowing that there is someone up there looking out for me and someone who will be there unconditionally makes me feel so much better.

That is such an important fact that is lost by many... even long-time Christians. Not only will He be there, but He knows our heart and never misunderstands us. It won't always be easy, and He may seem distant at times. But don't lose heart when the struggles and suffering come. It's so worth it in the end!

Dear clo101. You had some good advice, and welcome clo. There is good news in:
Matthew 22: 35-40: " Jesus tells a Lawyer: The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Then Jesus gives us this great truth: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God is Love, and God wants our Love, freely given and No conditions made. A good way is to treat all you know and all you meet, as you would love to be treated: with kindness and always friendly words.
God sees our sincere efforts, and God blesses us. A Christian`s weapon is Love, with Love we can overcome all enmity and wrong behaviour. People around us will treat us the same as we treat people, Love is very catching.
Love changes us gradually and surly, into the men and women which God wants us to be. Jesus our Saviour will help and guide us all the way: JESUS IS
THE WAY. Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will empower us with His Love, also. Jesus told us to " ask and ye shall receive,"
then we thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour: all we know and all we meet. ( Matthew 7: 7-8) We keep asking God, thanking God,
and sharing all Love and Joy with our neighbour.
We might stumble or forget sometimes, but then we ask God to forgive us,
and carry on Loving and Caring. We show our Love for God by following His
Commandments to Love, and we show our neighbour that we love him or her,
by treating our neighbour as we treat ourselves.
People will know whom we Love and represent, and we will be sign-posts
to God our Heavenly Father. I say this with love, clo. Greetings from Emmy,
your sister in Christ.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this.

I'm new to Jesus as well. I haven't found a church yet but I am doing lots of Bible reading and have gotten great reading suggestions from this site. :). Hopefully I can find a church I can get to.
