  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nah. I'm done trying to prove things to you. You've already proven (in the other thread) that you will absolutely ignore any bit of scientific evidence that contradicts your own position.

I have no interest in educating fools.
Your mickey mouse chicken man video that started off with the silly strawman of a present state light changing, was dealt with swiftly. Leave in a huff all you like.

Not leaving. I'll happily discuss any questions anyone might have.

I'm simply done with trying to explain things to you. I have better uses of my time.

Rather than put a case on the table, you offered a third rate video. Some man dressed as a chicken at the intro! I dealt with the first point it raised, that there was no change IN our light. Then you come back with this pretentious nonsense?? Deal with it. Or bow out like a man.

NO, they don't!!!

Well, you would say that. I am assuming you've never taken a geology class let alone spent any time in the field studying the rocks. Am I correct?

So I'll let you have your "opinion", such as it is. If you care to, you can easily pick up a geology 1 class at a local college then you can see modern soft-sediment formation and compare it to the exact same structures preserved in the rock record. (As has been posted on this forum many, many times before).

What is your background in the sciences, again?

If that's all you got from the video, you either didn't watch it, or you didn't understand it.

In either case, I have no interest in educating fools.

I'd bet my last blessing on it.

So I'll let you have your "opinion", such as it is.

It's more than an "opinion" -- it's the delusion that that opinion is somehow sanctified because it vaguely resembles something out of an ancient holy book.

If you care to, you can easily pick up a geology 1 class at a local college then you can see modern soft-sediment formation and compare it to the exact same structures preserved in the rock record. (As has been posted on this forum many, many times before).

Fat chance of that.

What is your background in the sciences, again?

A lot of naysaying from the peanut gallery, combined with feelings of superiority, from the looks of it.

I don't get mad at people for subscribing to an -ism.

I just don't care for idiots. It's just as possible for an atheist to be an idiot.

Some people are beyond help it looks like.

Not so much beyond help, simply beyond the desire to be helped.
It's taken a long time but you got there in the end.

Religion is a madness and must be treated as such, laughter and education are the only cures,
you don't feed religion and make it seem reasonable to believe, you laugh at it, make jokes about it,
because just like a mad dog religion can not be reasoned with, talk accomplishes nothing,
education and laughter is the only way to reach it,
make a mockery of it, make people feel like fools for believing in it, because that's what they become.

We should try never be legitimised religion with discussion, except in it's early stage,
like schizophrenia it's a mental thing, try telling a schizophrenic there are no voices,
so we shouldn't talk about religion, we should treat it, as we would any other malady,
it was devised by man so it can be destroyed by man, and one day it will be.

I fail to understand how atheists are fools for refusing to believe in something for which there exists no evidence.
Creation has always been taken as evidence of the glory of God. It is a shame that the modern education system is churning out what the bible calls fools. If they get to a point where they believe inside, that there is no God, then that is what God says they are. We don't need to understand it, any more than how He created, that is just how it works.

No, I won't sit through a whole mickey mouse, third rate animation, without addressing the first points of the propaganda. If you defend and discuss that, we could move on. The strawman was raised by the chicken man that light didn't change. I explained our light was the same since the split, or state change, when it came to be (more or less). So, you need to prove there was no state change, and it was the same light. Otherwise we can look at our light AS the change. If you don't get it, ask. I also didn't like the duhh factor in the animated lunacy flick! The words come up, real large, something like..the universe is big..pause...real big. Duhh, ya think??

If that foolish flick is all you can offer, I will let the lurkers judge. It seems you can't discuss it in detail, and rationally.

Nice try at robe waving. Here is the deal. Show us one of these formations. Then we can talk. I am not sure why you seem to think that there were no seas, or water, or sediment pre flood? I seem to recall trashing that red herring on another forum long ago. If you need a fresh one here, put it on the table. Sounds like you need a fable bashing 101 course. I am here to help.

Its ironic that countries with more fools have better economies, lower crime, lower divorce rates, and better jobs.

In fact, they, according to the bible have no choice. It's in the bag, as it were.

The first real atheist big country, Russia was judged before it became a nation. Seems like God is way way out ahead of the 'fools' as the bible calls those that say in their heart that there is noo God. I agree with the bible, by the way. So we will have to agree to disagree on that issue.

In Dantes inferno, if I recall right, there was a man in a little cage full of gold coins. When asked what he did to deserve that horrible punishment, the man replied 'the bars are to keep you out, not me in!'

Having better jobs might keep some behind the bars of soul slavery, I somehow am not envious. Besides seems to me that the civilized nations in the forefront of the richest countries on earth had a Christian influence. I think we find a growing divorce rate, and etc as the backsliding, God rejection time goes on! Go figure.
